Re: Frederick of IL

Health care is a right, not a privilege.

Our tax dollars fiance health insurance for every government official, usually until they die and there are some very porky public officials who drink, smoke and have horrible diets.

Health care for all U.S. citizens, period. Thank God our President doesn't share your selfish ideologies.

Ever notice all the people who want free health care always look like people who barely make an attempt to care of themselves...think Michael Moore. Obese, moderate drinkers and smokers who eat at McDonald's and Pizza Hut who want everyone else to pay for the recovery from their fourth, fifth, and sixth heart attacks.

Keeping Youth Involved

Barack obama is off to a good start by involving youth. Now he must keep them energized by presenting them with challenges. Each challenge should have specific goals and specific actions to achieve those goals. Young people are capable of doing this themselves, but acknowledgement and encouragement from the top is important. Suggestions: 1)Pay down the depbt by reviving U.S. Savings Bonds using savings stamps and books as we did during W.W.II. Schools competed to buy war materiel with War Bonds. 2)Work for peace by arranging for pen-pals in lesser known countires. Learning the language of that country would be a plus, but learning about commonalities and differences would be the main purpose. 3) Get Hollywood involved in making movies with positive messages about youths from other countries. The movie industry was deeply involved during WWII. Also, programs to work for America should be supported, as a revival of the Civilian Conservation Corps. These are just a few ideas.

Just remember some of us are more equal than others

Not alone

Obviously Ivan didn't pay attention to the exit poll demographics. Many of us baby boomers voted for Barack as well, and were deeply involved in getting the word out, driving people to polling places, helping folks with absentee ballots and early voting--not to mention donating plenty of money to the effort. The list of things we non-brats did is endless, and we did it for hope and change...for a new direction.

Guess that makes me a brat, too, huh?

Heads-up Ivan, you've bought-into believing lies and scare tactics. Do remember that, when you turn on the light, you will have a shadow. Try not to jump and run away in terror.

We need Americans who will stick together and get the job done, not finger pointers and cowards.

From Virginny to Darfur!

To "good" in Virginia, Well done brat-you took the bait. That is why brats will always be "Cannon Fodder" .Look it up -it's a term from antiquity pre-90s.BTW Hope your not phobic ,cos' those Namibian Spitting Cobras pop up when you least expect them , (kinda' like the Spanish Inquisition)
