Economy

In order to reduce the wild spending by congress the prez-elect should press for a bill on "LINE VETO". That is the only way to pinpoint responseability.

same reception

I strongly believe that president-elect obama will deliver,if he gets the same reception his predecessors recieved.Being a black president ,it is two strikes against him already .People will throw him on amicroscope but the good Lord will see him through.America need to celebrate because their president is devine.

Re President Obama

It is fast becomming obvious that Obama attended two first class schools,Harvard and Columbia and that is because his mother had a strong and constuctive influence in his life....the voters have spoken and he is now among other things the commander and chief....he has a lot of work to do and I think that he should talk to Bill Clinton a lot because Clinton knows his way around better , having more experience and know how.than enybody else....but one thing seems abundantly clear , Obama will get more cooperation from congress than Bush....

The American System Works

"Forget the "mandate" BS" comment was very racist. Our American system works. If you don't like it leave. America is for winners, not for cry babies and sore loosers. America is for heroes where we make things happen. It's not for cowards and sell outs. Three percent of America voted more for Obama than McCain, the majority wins. Now try being an American and support your president. Take an example from McCain's speech "he is my president." I guess McCain is a gracious winner and a man with class. Unfortunately you are not mr. racist. If you don't like the way this country works, leave it. We dont' want cry babies here, we want men with courage and strength. Sincerely, a proud American.

Day After Win: Prez elect works the phones

This man, Obama, does not even have the decency to rush home to Hawaii to mourn the death of his gran. He did it the last week of the campaign knowing that it would bring in the votes. But now that he has won, his true color surfaces. With inauguration set for 20th Jan, what can be so important that he cannot put aside a few days to be with his "Tut"? Tut was never important to him - his career was more important. Humbug!

Obama

Obama was appointed to his position, as President of the United States of America, by God. He was born for "such a time as this". Look at how he was raised and groomed to do just what he is doing! Its time for people to put up and just shut up about race period. When we dont know how to articulate our differences or indifferences to people; the first thing we want to do is pull the race card! Obama transends race and policital party. Hello! Were you listening to what he said? He said we have to do this together. It will be hard but if we pull together and unite as one nation; we can do it.

Forget the "mandate" BS

A point for all to keep in mind, there WAS no mandate, the "American People" didn't vote for Obama en masse, 3% more voted for Obama, who won 52/46. Had that 3% voted for McCain, he would have won by the same margin. That's 3 people out of a hundred, some of whom were misguided by the demos and their press groupies into believing that everything bad that happened in the last 8 years was the fault of the Republicans. Let's try to keep it in perspective. Possibly 3% will build up an immunity to kool-aid or an aversion to BS, or finally hold the democrats responsible agian for what they do and don't do in the next 2-4 years, I'll hope so.

hi

hi hi hi hi Obama better choose wisely for his cabinet, because I don't want to lose my business.

race

like we didn't already have one before...remember Laura Bush's comments about the Katrina victims???

RE: race

ivy of PA, i agree that it should not be made about race though it is hard to not akcnowledge the significance of this being the first Black President, I mean are people supposed to act like that is not significant at all and not mention it? Also sorry to hear that you feel that Michelle Obama is racist and that "it is awful to know that we have a racist first lady" as if there have never been racist people in the white house before, was it awful to you then? She is not racist, and I wish people will move foward and support the new presidency rather than starting off with bashing it. Give them a chance first.
