Though I am a republican, I like the article the person who wrote did. Obama's win is not the end of the world and I hope he means what he says.

Publishing

Now that Michelle Obama's Princeton thesis has been de-classified, when will US News publish it???????

Obama

America has choose a president who was a member of a church for twenty years; he traveled with its minister, but now expects us to believe he didn't know what was being preached. Mr. Obama will be commander and chief of the most formidable military in the world but, not only has he never served in the military; he's never even passed out parking tickets for a police department. Our next president will attempt to run our country with all its problems even though he's never been the managing administrator of anything. Barack Obama claims to represent change, but he selected a political fossil with 36 years experience in national politics - Is that symbolic of change? Obama has promised a myriad of additional services while lowering taxes for most Americans. It's hard to imagine how he or anyone else could do this, so it's likely that he'll disappoint many. I'm fearful that American is in for a rough ride with Obama in the White House; let's hope those who ushered him into his new home will recognize what they've done when they are disappointed.

History

I guess we are doomed to repeat history at this point. What is rather scary is this guy will make Jimmy Carter look successful. The scary part is he don't care. I will take a wait and see attitude. He has been way oversold. He won't come close to delivering whats been promised.

THE YING AND YANG OF THE MATTER...

Finally, after about 8 years, I am - once again - happy to be an American...

Yes!

Now when I gotta travel abroad I aint gotta explain dat the American people have little or nuthin to do with its leadership - like when Bush wuz in office...

I can look at our society and culture and recognize its growth - which prolly hasnt moved much in the past - oh i dunno - 15 years?

Then - just as I am proclaiming my joy and pride - I see that California's Prop. 8 is passing...

Oh well... I guess its one step at at time. For airy step we move forward - there are a those who choose to stay back - and try to pull us backwards with them.

So... if u supported Prop 8.... watch ur back - they prolly gonna target u next...
