Barack Obama and the Grandma Factor in the Presidential Race

Dear God.........have the Republican's thought up another ridiculous scenario for their failing campaign. He went to see Grandma.........she's very sick..........he loves her........so, what's the problem. Now the timing is suspect?

Perhaps Toot is really a code name for a secret operative. Maybe, Barack went to Toot's bedside under the false pretence of seeing an ailing Grandmother......when in reality he was actually going to Hawaii to meet secretly with Oprah so they could plan their next course of action in their evil plan to rule the universe. (After all........they're both BLACK!)

This birth certificate thing is a joke too............you know what........I'll bet Oprah put up the front money to get a fake birth certificate for Barack. Doesn't that makes more sense than the story that it's the birth certificate of a live birth that was registered at a hospital in Hawaii by Barack's mother.

I'm sure that the fact John wasn't born in the USA isn't anything to be concerned about though.

It's amazing how easy it is to make nothing into something..........if you are willing to compromise your honor to try and win. I am so very thankful that Barack Obama will win with honor.

Obama would be slammed for NOT going to visit Grandma if she passed away before election day. He is doing the right thing--both for her and for his campaign.

Look at www.factcheck.org, a non-partisan (they'll debunk anybody) site. They have seen, handled, verified and photographed Senator Obama's birth certificate, as well as a birth announcement in a local paper at the time. I'd say that's reasonably conclusive, unless you're so into conspiracy theories that you feel that might have been planted in 1961, just in case this question came up.

In which case, it's probably spacemen and Atlanteans telling you how to vote.

Smoking

As a smoker, chances are Barack Obama will have lung cancer or throat cancer (good example for the youngsters). Then, Joe Biden will be our president. Eventually, Michelle Obama, following the footsteps of Hillary Clinton, will become our first black woman president. It is America's destiny.

Natural Born Citizens

McCain was born in Panama because his dad was serving in the military there. Newsflash: lots of military families have children while stationed outside of the US. Serving your military is the ultimate patriotism, especially when you are stepping outside of the safety of the US.

My husband goes back to Iraq in January. I'd rather have someone in office that respects the service rather than someone who feels we are "airraiding villages and bombing civilians". It seems even his VP candidate is having doubts.

By the way, I'm sure many of you feel that you know more than President Bush about what should have been done in Iraq, but he had better information than you. Iraq is a better place now for the people there. We have actually reasserted our authority, and we haven't had another 9/11, although you may have not realized that. History is going to be kind to GWB.

I'm glad Obama got the chance to go see his grandma. Those of us who got there too late (sometimes because death was expected, but some weeks later), know full well that sense of regret that never quite passes.

Like he "visited" our injured troops in Germany...

Funny how Michelle & Kids did not go, funny how they only went recently this summer, as we all know, Michelle Obama does not like White People! Maybe he is just going over to look good. We should find out why he was late to visit his mother? Where was he that he could not get to her in time? At church with Rev. Wright? Eating over @ the Ayers House? Believe me, most people when a parent is sick , you do NOT miss their passing or illness recoveries. Remember how he was to visit our injured troops in Germany, only to blow them off? Now wonder 75% of active military support John McCain (the other 25% are black, and we all know, blacks will support blacks when they know they will get something out of it) Condi & Colin never gave them anything, so they consider them "Uncle Toim's!" We should investigate why his half brother lives in a hut in Africa, believe me, if this was Sarah Palin, they would be @ the hut wanting to know what he has to eat, or how many flushes are on the outhouse toilet! His grandmother certainly did not teach him to "throw" surviving fetuses in the trash, let alone to make abortion legal. Their daughter (his mother) was a loser, that could not take care of him, and she was the TRUE MOTHER!!!! MORE POWER TO SECTION 8!!!

Why is Obama taking a trip to Hawaii so close to the end of the election cycle? If his mother is ailing why not bring Michelle and the kids along?
