gay adoption
I dont see why people care. If gay people want a kid let them have one. Its better for two gay people to love a kid then a man and a woman to treat the child wrong

I disagree with homosexual adoption for many reasons. I also am currently a highschool student and am writing a paper on the subject and i am completely against it. I feel a child should have the right to a mother and a father. It isn't fair to put a child in a situation with gay parents with the way the world is today. People just aren't all accepting yet and especially if u live down south like I do, you will most likely get picked on, teased, and even bullied. I feel that if the child is above a certain age to understand the topic and they are still up for adoption then they should be able to make the choice on whether they are okay with the fact of living with homosexual parents. And here's just a personal opinion.... homosexuality, in my opinion is wrong and SICK by itself.

Gay Rights
Gay people deserve the right to be married and have a child. They're no different than any of us "straight" people. After, i thought all men we created equal. so technically declarign gay marrige and adoption wrong is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

I think its nasty for gay people to marry eachother. but if you really think about it...the situation has nothing to do with you..unless your GAY??! yeah i know when you see a gay couple walking holding hands you'll be disgusted but its just like when you see a black guy with a white chik holding hands and kissing. so therefore i think you shouldnt worry about how people live their life or what they do unless it involves you. COMPLAINNIG IS NOT GOING TO SOLVE ANYTHING!!
Gay Rights
I am a current high school student and I have just had to right a paper on an argumentative issue. At first I had no clue on what to do but I finally wrote it on adoption for same sex couples. I believe same sex marriage should be legal as well as same sex adoption. Why let a child not be adopted simply because it has two dads or two moms? The answer is beyond me. But I just though on sharing my feelings on this issue. Thanks!

I agree with pretty much all of what you wrote except for McCain being a cop out, well entirely, when it comes to his stand on gay rights and what not. I am all about Obama, but will say that McCain was on Ellen Degeneres saying that he too beleives in civil unions but would rather leave it up to the states to decide wether or not to legalize certain things like marriage.. I think we have a better chance of getting legally married if it were left up to the states themselves. But anyway that's all I really had to say. I <3 Obama. :)
Ps So long as I get the same rights as a married couple, I don't need a certificate or authorization to express my comitment to whomever it would be that I wanted to spend my life with.
gay marriage
while both Obama and McCain oppose gay and lesbian marriage, at least Obama believes in giving gay and lesbian couples rights, which is very important. I belive that gay marriage should be legal, but Obama's plan to support civil unions is a big step. I believe that not legalizing gay marriage because of religion is complete crap, because what religion they have is not the same religion as everyone else. I also think that McCain stating that gay and lesbian marriage should be up to the states is a cop-out because he doesnt want the country to know that he is probably prejudiced against gays and lesbians. Gays and Lesbians may never be able to marry, but at least with Obama they will have the same rights (except marriage) as everyone else. GO OBAMA!
