McCain's character
For Brent Dunlap of UT. University of Texas at Austin?
University of Tennessee? I am graduate of UT at Austin.
The character of the man or woman running for President is important. A recent article in "Rolling Stone Magazine" raised some very real questions about how maverick John McCain may really be:

IS IT THE BEGINING OF OUR END?
Alexander Fraser Tyler, Cycle of Democracy (1770)
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury.
From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over lousy fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.
The average of the world’s great civilizations before they decline has been 200 years. These nations have progressed in this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to Complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage.”

Benjamin Franklin (1706 - 1790), Final Speech at the Constitutional Convention
Sir, I agree to this Constitution, with all its Faults, if they are such; because I think a General Government necessary for us, and there is no Form of Government but what may be a Blessing to the People if well administered;
and I believe farther that this is likely to be well administered for a Course of Years, and can only end in Despotism as other Forms have done before it, when the People shall become so corrupted as to need Despotic Government, being incapable of any other.
Slope is getting more slipery every day.....
"...Obama..Health Care, Jobs, education, is a right..."
SOCIALISM IS OPPRESSION
Belief that Health Care is a right is a terrific example of 'moral relativism' where by the consequences of 'your beliefs' conflict with that of 'someone else', me. The 'right' to health care, you believe exists, in reality, does not.
As so many other perceived rights bandied about by the affirmation, 'I believe it is a right', describes personal desires. The subject 'is' of a 'moral nature' that has ignited, once again, conflict.
The consequences of the, yours vs. mine, morality argument is 'very real' and 'costly' for many people of the opposing view. What must follow always results in 'mandates', 'controls', and 'taking more taxes'.
'My' freedom of choice now diminished and 'my' paycheck smaller. I now have to 'obey' what I previously did not have to. I am now worse off than before.
I learned in college economics this one axiom; Wants and desires are never ending.
This 'human trait' is why our founders demanded a 'limited government' as 'originally intended' and enumerated in our rule book, the Constitution.
Why elections matter so much:

OBAMA
The media is biased towards Obama for the good.
Why do they not report the man in NY that beet up a female MCcain supporter.
Why doe snot Obama denounce his campaign workers who wear t-shirts with the following Sara pallin is a C*NY and yes the U is left in.
Why did he not denounce the 2 men who fire bombed a sign in some peoples front yard, almost burnt there house down.
Yes the media is biased.
Why will they not report or investigate the 2 million in weird funds donated through the internet in weird amounts of say 23.34 etc. it is because they are coming from overseas and have to be converted to US Currency. Which is against the law.
Why do they not ask Obama about his judgement in going to Kenya and campaigning as a US Senator for his suppoosed cousin. Who by the way did not win, then went on a campaign of terror and murder. Burning Christians in their CXhurches, the only safe place they that they had.
After this incident why did he have his supposed cousing visit him on his campaign trail.
Yes to many questions unanswered.
John McCain?
No one makes less of the years McCain spent as a POW. What has not been said is the fact he was ordered to turn back but disobeyed the order and ended up getting shot down. Had he obeyed the order he would not have a story to tell. Let's not forget McCain was not the only one in the camp, there were hundred of others. There were thousands of POWs--unfortunately, some did not make it back. McCain has always been arrogant and pompous and thinks rules were made for the other guy. His peers in school and in the Navy have all said the same thing. McCain thinks he is superior to others and so he should not have to live by the same rules. That has been the sad story of McCain's life--he is undesciplined and lacks respect for others and has no qualms with denigrating and mocking or insulting people. His colleges in the House have witnessed his bouts of anger where he has assailed other senators because they dared to contradict him. McCain is not fit to be president he lacks the discipline, respect for others, patience, fortitude and like, Goerge Bush, will not ask for advice nor will he accept he is wrong. We need a man/women who does have the qualities and skills necessary to deal with every day stress, emergencies, different personalities and cultures. Frankly, I prefer fortitude and practicality over erratic and flailing and deceptive any day.
DON'T BE DISTRACTED!
I am sick and tired of people that keep spreading all the lies and negative rumors that have been put out by the republican party. Do you think that Senator Obama would be a senator or a presidential candidate if he had any ties to any terrorist, or if he had any illegal dealing with any association? Don't you know that they have come up with all of these smears and made them seem like he is unpatriotic and is all character assassination? Senator Obama's associations with any of these "so called questionable associations" are not anything to do with his love of these country or any illegal activity. The republican party don't have any good plans or solutions for this country and so the only thing they have is to attack Senator Obama in a negative way so that you will not trust him or vote for him. I realize that some of you have been scared about their scare tactic, but please look at the issues. You will find that Senator Obama's best interest is for the citizens of this United States. I'm proud to be an American and I know there are a lot of problems with this country but I know that most americans want what is best for all of us.
Vote for Obama, check out his plans and solutions and don't be distracted by all the negative ads. Please, Please, Please!
Barack Obama IS dangerous, he is dangerous because he will make a great president, he is NOT dangerous due to his superficial associations with random terrorists Look at the man himself, and his wife...read through their many speeches and behaviour, all these years; no bad guy will be able to churn out such great inspirational words. Indeed, smooth talkers may mislead people, but often they change people for the worse instead of better. Barack Obama has already inspired so many Americans and people outside America even before he has become president. Can an evil guy pretending to be a good guy do such positive good? Barack Obama is the real deal. We live in suspicious times and indeed it seems he is too good to be true becoz he's just superb. He's so amazing that ppl want to pick fault with him coz it's just unbelievable. He's not perfect, but he's indeed amazing.
Mc Cain loves America and has been serving it loyally for the previous years. But try as he might, the best he can be is good. Hillary Clinton was good too. They would make good presidents.
But when it comes to someone like Obama, you just have to step aside coz he's just better than good, he's great. Look at his campaign for starters, it's so efficient, so consistent...if he runs America like the way he runs his campaign...=)
