Obamanos!!!

Obama v McCain

I have been a life long registered Republican but this year I will be voting for Obama. I believe McCain's choice of Palin was so wrong.

Is money can buy voters?

If Obama win, we can say money can buy every thing, that included voters. Otherwise, how can you explain $426.9 millions his campaign fund spend for what? (till to Sep.08) From primary, Obama spend $14/per voter, Hillary spend $11+/per voter, and McCain spend $8/per voter. More efficiency, effective runner is Mccain. If this time Obama win, his voters cost a lot of money than McCain's voters. Does anyone see this? Bring in receipt, got reimbrursed.

McSame?

Its so funny that Democrats love lumping McCain with Bush by using the label of guilt by association, even though McCain has been often a thorn in his side. That kind of simplification is perfectly fine with Democrats but pointing out Obama's associations with radicals and dirty Chicago politics borders on racism. Oh please.

McCain in Iowa

Incomprehensible. What is he thinking? When the Primaries first started I was so optimistic. We had several good candidates in both parties, and I said over and over, no matter who wins this election, we're in good shape for the next 4 years at least. Then McCain's choice of campaign managers and advisers, Palin (My God, what's going on?), now all the sleaze (that's not just "negative campaigning", it's embarrassing and depressing to see), and now from bad to worse. Is this the kind of poor judgment we'd have in the White House if John were elected? If he doesn't display a little good sense and intelligence during the campaign, why should we think he'll suddenly change if elected? I've been a Republican ever since I voted against Truman in 1948, but this year I changed my registration to Democrat, and Bush and McCain are the reasons. They have become a national disaster and McCain's behavior promises more of the same if not worse.

McCain's wrong decision

There is no way McCain is going to win in Iowa, and his campaign trip to Davenport demonstrates how he has lost sight of his campaign. McCain tried to woo the conservatives even though he's not (he's a maverick, as he says). Then he tried to woo the conservatives once again by choosing the northern-most redneck in Sarah Palin. That didn't work either because McCain and Palin are not on the same conservative page. Poor John McCain. He's a maverick lost in the right wing Republican party. He would have been better off to campaign his ideals, choose a vice president that was on his same page, and not try to make himself into something he's not. His trip to Davenport demonstrates his erratic confusion.

Iowa

McSame is losing his marbles, Who wants a senile 72 year old.

Its just kinda sad........

JM's acceptance speech at the RNC was a great speech. I was very excited and told my kids about it..The Palin pick I was dubious about but held off judgement...now after 5 weeks I am astonished. That choice destroyed his Campaign-she might fit the base but she did not fit McCain. John McCain is not the guy we see on TV now...he is a morph of his managers-he has to fit with the base, the idealogy and with Sarah's panache-that its not working is no surprise to me- This is what happens when an independent thinker(okay I'll say it-a Maverick)takes orde3rs from a neo-con nasty campaign manager.

I really like John McCain and I hope he remains in the Senate where he can once again find himself...Its really sad. Palin did him in. Idealogy did him in. The base-whoever that really is-did him in.

He could have run on character and courage(He wrote a book about it and I sent that book to my two USMC sons) and transcended the idealogical know nothings like Palin. But,I will always fondly remember the RNC acceptance speech-"Stand Up! Stand Up! Stand Up! We're Americans...etc etc ..." No matter your politics you got to feel its too bad.

I am not a Yankee,Falcons or Giants fan but still I think Roger Clemens, Michael Vick, Barry Bonds are sad stories too.

McCain in Iowa

Because his campaign is an unguided missle right now. This is baffling. He's actually closer in Michigan than Iowa. And what's his strategy in Michigan right now? I've never seen such neglegent campaign planning in my lifetime....and this goes back covering historic campaign debacles like Mondale/Ferraro and the Dukakis disaster. He appears to be targeting only his base with his message and strategy. Earth to John, Earth to John....You already have the base. They're not going to vote for Obama. You need the ind's, white women and blue collar dems. Your negative slime throwing is turning them to Obama in droves. Look at teh number's you stubborn old mule. I'm a life long republican, and conceed that picking McCain was a monumental mistake. Don't even get me started with Palin. That's a whole new rant.

Why McCain in Obama-friendly town.

Easy...to warn those people about Obama. I vote for who I think is best, but they have to tell me, the public about their past. I think McCain is doing a service for voters in Iowa,
