Remove Sarah Palin from the ticket!

McCain's best move would be to remove Sarah Palin and bring in Romney or someone of his business sense. Palin has been a drag on McCain's exercise of judgement.

McCain Said it Best

McCain said: "We wanted to change Washington -- and Washington changed us,"

It's Washington that made them run the nation's finances, and military into a ditch. It's Washington that made them a party to a level of corruption not seen since the Gilded Age.

Well they had their chance; 12 years of Republicans running Congress and 8 years with a republican president.

It sure is time for change!

negative campaigning

McCain is grasping at straws and has forfeited his honor by running personal attacks. What he's saying is not only false, it's dangerous. If anything should happen to the Democratic candidate, a lot of people are going to look at what McCain's been saying and will make him pay for it. And if, by some chance, McCain should win this election, how would he work with a Democratic Congress after having engaged in such a malicious campaign against a Democrat?

Obama vs McCain

As a reasonably well educated American, I recall watching the George W. Bush vs John Kerry debates almost eight years ago. As ignorant and inarticulate as George Bush appeared during those debates compared to John Kerry, I was amazed that such a bumbling fool could somehow become the US president (for two terms no less!).

My early observations and those of the vast majority of my friends have since been strongly verified by the dramatically damaged economy, the failed belief in "trickle-down economics" and unregulated markets, the loss of our soldier's (and many other precious souls) lives and limb, the mass public deceptions, fear mongering, etc. (all in the name of greed and the misguided need to subjugate others).

I originally grew up in a republican family, but since changed my party affiliation to democrat since I do care about the masses, not just here but everywhere. If we're ever going to evolve beyond our greedy, tribal, animal nature, we need leaders more like Obama who have the balls to take on the status quo. I believe this country is largely ready for such a change and it thankfully looks like Obama is going to be our next president!

Will Not Be Scared Into Voting Republican Again

I voted for Bush in 2004 and I very much regret it. I bought into all that family value stuff and the terrorist scare stuff. Well I learned my lesson and I have decided to vote for Obama. I have woke up and smelled the coffee.

The Republicans have literally hoodwinked and raped the middle class and the poor economically. Since 911 we live in a police state. I guess after the Republicans took all the war money and diverted it to their friends bombs and weapons factories and doubled the price of gas they felt they had to have a police state to keep us peasants in line.

The GOP are for the rich perod. They play the race card, the terrorist scare card and the mud slinging card. The Republicans are not for middle class people and are just no good. They don't care about us regular folks at all. I was a idiot to vote for Bush and I will not be a sucker again and vote for McCain. I believe Obama has passion, intelligence and the drive to help change our country for the better! He is the better candidate, that's who I am voting for and you should too unless you make over $500,000 a year or you are a CEO for Exxon or a Wall Street firm!

Undecide No More

In regards to Nita Xerla of XX, I understand your view point between the Obama and McCain. I'm Asian-American and I'm unbias as well. I'm voting for the best man for the job and so far I'm leaning forward the democratic party. Unless????????

Undecided No More

I was undecided almost all of the early stages of the running for presidency. I didn't think I was ready for a woman to be president (Hillary Clinton) and I also didn't think I was ready for an interacial/african/american to be president either, but as time goes by and the more I listen to both Obama and McCain, I think I have a clear view as to whom I'm going to vote for in November. I'm still puzzled by Palin. I don't like her. Had McCain have chosen someone else, I would have been sway to vote for republican.

As a rank outsider, I have followed with interest - the US election campaign, the debates etc.

As I am from Asia, my views can hopefully be considered "unbiased".

Obama comes accross as more sincere, with far better understanding of domestic issues, far greater empathy, and sincere in his foreign policy pronouncements - some of which we may not agree with. He comes accross as a gentleman.

McCain gives the impression of being only out to get power. He contradicts himself, takes uncouth pot-shots at opponents, seems on the verge of losing his patience (probably due to his advancing age), and seems driven only by political expediency.

Sarah Palin gives the impression of being largely ignorant of most issues, lacking in depth, and spewing rhetoric. Biden is more mature and seasoned.

I dont have a US vote obviously, but if I did I would clearly vote for Obama.

Blowing in the wind (2)

Obama has been seen a couple of times with a bloody idealist

Mc was part of the Keaton 5 (Saving and loans) - economy

Mc was part of a group affiliated with the Reagan administration and later tied to the Iran-Contra fiasco.

Mc was instrumental in CA Fort Belvoir transition fiasco, cronies got the go ahead

Mc supports war in Iraq for false pretenses, Obama does not.

Obama changes opinion as events dictate? Only a fool sticks to his gun when confronted with bigger guns. Adapt or die, get a bigger gun. Mc likes his mud-slingshot.

Mc wants to be above everyone and 'stops' his campaigning to deal with the economic bail out? This was not a 'campaigning gimmick'?

Mc did not even comprehend that the first 'no' was the only possible result. The fast sinking of stocks afterward worried the public so much that no one made a reservation against it the second time around. Why? It was the only way to get the US public on the band wagon, scare the crap out of them!!! (Oh yeah - Did you see how neatly some tax exemption was added? Let’s help the corporate word and make sure some do not feel the sting. National interest goes only so far).

Mc wants to act ‘presidential’ to be seen as a reformer, a maverick. Nothing is further from the truth, even his selection of a VP is a gimmick. Nothing in this candidate is to be trusted.

Yeah, we can compare and see where the wind blows. Being behind Mc means having to wear a gas mask to survive…

More "Mud"

We finally see the true stripes of the Republican ticket. Hate and fear just more of the usual. I remember both candidates last summer speaking of a clean campaign but that sure isn't happening is it?

Is this the trend we want to continue where every election at this time 'old' and useless statements are brought out when we hunger for direction. Sarah Palin is now selling her soul to become McCain's henchman. Not only is she incapable to lead she is petty and takes great pleasure in mudracking. "Say it isn't so, Sarah..." just more looking into the past and not ahead as you so cutely tried to sting Biden with at Sunday's debate.

Obama, I support you and your plan for change, don't roll in the mud with these hack politicians. Keep the positive message the USA needs to hear, leave Palin in the sty where I guess there really is "...lipstick on a pig".
