Racism will always be in the mix when it comes to the election of a Black candidate for president in this country, as it factors in with jobs, loans, housing and everything else. In other words, Barack Obama could be running against a sewer rat, and if the rat is white, Obama would lose. With out racism, this would not America.

Being black has no real significance in who should run a country.It's true that all people of color have been held back at one point or another. Now is the time to give Obama a chance to lead, no matter what his color is. As educated individuals we should not see color in our leaders, we should just focus ontheir messages and ideas for our future.

Black isnt a disgrace. Other races aren't a mutation of the black race.Yes white skin is less protective against UV rays. All people have a history of stealing and killing in thier background.

If Blacks are so Bad, then why does God's Sun love Blacks so much. Whites worship the Sun, while the Sun is attacking White Skin, as if it is the scum that needs to be burned off Earth. How many times have Mccain had Cancer? So Blacks made have the symptoms of those of an oppressed people, which is not anything to brag about. But the world knows the pathology of White people tendency to steal and kill in massive numbers, and then pretend to be wholesome, while the Sun says you are not wholesome, and you are cursed enough for my Sun to Burn you, you do not have the true inheritence of those Dark made for my Sun, my true chosen children of Israel, the Black Semites.

Ignorance
Obama is being discredited soley because he is a black man. Change can be frightening in every aspect of life, but change is obviously what America needs. It's not just the republican or democratic party that is responsible for our nation's extreme downfall, it's the mass of ignorant people living here. You keep our country from progressing. You're infected with hatred and stupidity and what's worse is it's contagious. Obama is hardly dangerous and has admirably not stooped to the dishonest tactics like those of his opponent. McCain is running a smear campaign. One would think that a man of his age and impressive resume wouldn't want to slander his own character by appearing ridiculously juvenile. You fear his education because it gives him power. You fear his race because you were taught to hate. If you disagree with his stance on the issues we're facing based on factual knowledge then your opinion is valued and even appreciated. Who's all one-sided anyway? I support Obama but I can also agree with McCain on some issues. Now if your opinions are based on smear emails and web posts then you have cowardly deprived yourself of the truth and you need to do more research. Who hasn't been here the last 8 years? Haven't we had enough?! But attacks on Obama is to be expected because you fear the unknown. The audacity for a black man to get an education and use it to achieve greatness. And God forbid a black man turns this country around for the better. Please note the sarcasm. It's unfortunate but the terrorists we're surrounded by is not those in other countries, but in fact the one's in our very own neighborhoods.

I wonder, if a person is half white and half eskimo, is this person called an eskimo?

If a person is half white and half asian, is this person asian? And, if a person is half white and half black, is this person black?
Since when being white is so shameful that it cannot be mentioned and be proud of just because a half white person is the result of an interracial relationship? Can't this person call himself/herself white?
In Mr. Obama's case, his mother was the white parent in a mixed race marriage. Does this mean that she has to be completely and utterly disregarded as if she had nothing to do with bringing her child into this world? All of a sudden this lady's blood, ancestry, customs, background, etc. are obliterated as if she or her ancestors never existed, just because of marrying a person of a different race and parenting a child with that person?
I think there is still a lot to be desired when it comes to race in America, but definitely one thing is true, half black and half white is not necessarily the same as half full and half empty.
