An important presidential election record will be broken this year, it is not the first time a woman or Black person will be elected to the Executive office. We will be seeing the greatest American tragedy unfolding right beore our eyes. It is one of the rare occasions when a native son will not be elected by his own state. To make it worse, such native son is the greatest hero in an area which has always been the pride and joy of that state. Correct me if I am wrong. I have hardly heard any one at the Republican Convention or during their campaign mentioned the Annapolis Naval Academy, not even McCain himself. Being born in Panama to a naval family and travel all over this country and the world, McCain really does not have a true home. Arizona is a state he used for election to Congress which he has not visited frequently. The Navy Academy is the only place McCain can really call his home in which he had spent the happiest time of his college life with his navy friends. Maryland should welcome her naval son with open arms and elect him as president.

But, no! Maryland have 1.6 million Black or approximately 30 % of the state's population making it the "Black Capital" near of the real Capital of the nation. It was 36 % to 61% (almost double) in favor of Obama over Hillary during the primary here. All media and people in Maryland have expressed the sad fact that little or no Marylanders will vote for McCain. I personally don't like McCain very much but my conscience forced me to campaign for him. This episode is not only the greatest disgrace of all Americans but also of that of the human race. It is an unforgivable sin committed by all Marylanders especially its Black racists. I am making suggestion to our Government to relocate its Naval Academy out of Maryland. The true and only battle ground states, for this election, are not Ohio, Florida or Michigan but Maryland. The decision is not who is going to become president? But whether God had made a mistake in creating man?

With this letter I, as Prophet of Environment, have ended this election right here and now! All of you should know that it will be impossible for Obama to win without Maryland.

Which House will he use to make all of this Change?

Time to Focus on REAL issues

The Republicans spent three days attacking Obama, but said absolutely nothing on how to deal with our economy and helping middle class Americans. John McCain mentioned "change" but yet, he has spent over 25 years in Washington and brought no change, so what makes a reasonable thinking person think that all of a sudden he will bring change now?

Palin is being used as a smoke screen, to divert the attention away from the real issues hurting this nation. We are talking hockey moms and teenage pregnancy, when we should be discussing the enormous job losses and soldiers dying daily in Iraq. We should be discussing the dumbing down of Americans when women say they will vote for a woman just because she is a woman, give me a break...WAKE UP AMERICA, and THINK.

McCain knows how to choose

Choosing Sarah Palin proves that Mccain knows which people to utilize. Please Vote for McCain . He makes great Commander in Chief. Thanks. God Bless America .

Dear People, when you think that you could not achieve some tasks or multiple tasks, please do Not think that nobody else could achieve since people are different , there are way smarter people out there and Sarah Palin are among them. Please do research in quantum, metaphysics about that truth.

"All of them absolutely committed" to McCain? Really?

Either Walsh needs to factcheck better, or he has an agenda - either way, this is sloppy journalism, to put it mildly!

Walsh writes, "One can scarcely imagine a more devoted band of brothers, all of them absolutely committed to the man who so deeply impressed them with his courage, character, and sense of honor under the most harrowing of circumstances."

So how does that square with this story in Army Times, http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/gns_pow_mccain_090408/ , Ex-POWs split on McCain playing up past:

"At least one former POW said he won’t vote for McCain. Phillip Butler, a former Navy pilot shot down in 1965 who now lives in Monterey, Calif., lived across the hall from McCain at the U.S. Naval Academy.

"'I like and respect John as a person, but even if he were my blood brother, I would not vote for him,' he says. 'On Election Day, fitness to be president trumps everything.'

"Butler faults McCain’s temper, age and stand on issues such as Iraq. He also said that many other POWs besides McCain turned down a chance for early release, and accuses him of using his imprisonment for political advantage: 'He was just one of the guys, nothing special until the media started making him the hero, and he played along.'"

The article concludes with the following: "Paradoxically, his old comrades are among the few Americans not in awe of what McCain survived. Many were held longer or tortured harder. Those whose capture preceded his make a joke: 'I didn’t meet John McCain in prison. John McCain met me.'"

Maybe Walsh was only referring to the 4 he had breakfast with at the convention, but that's not what he wrote. If US News has any sense of integrity, they will publish a correction, but I'm not holding my breath...

I've seen and heard of Mrs. McCain's dependency on Rx medicine (for a legitimate health issue) much more than I've heard about O'Bama's careless use of ILLEGAL drugs! And why don't we hear more about O'Bama's illigitimate beginning,even though his UNWED pregnant mother did marry his father. Come on now!..,this was 1960,when this sort of thing was extremely taboo! Not to mention an interracial relationship!! I can't help but feel his mother must have been an extremely loose young girl in the days when people weren't bombarded with the message of sex, and the pressure to experiment. But the media cannot stop bringing up the fact of Sarah Palin's daughter in this day when having babies outside of marriage has become so acceptable. With teens & kids being targeted constantly,from every source of entertainment known to mankind,with the messages of sex and sexuality and sexiness,etc., etc. We'd have to remove our kids from the planet to keep them from being exposed to this trash, despite how well they are raised by Godly, moral parents. And, no, I am not against sex, per se - just the sad misconceptions people have about it which are contrary to the Word of God.He is the one who created it to be exclusively between a man and wife. He details it all in the Bible. Read it and you will know what it says about sex, as well as all other aspects of human life and problems. He also gives the solution to all of life's problems in this book. I'm just saying that I greatly fear that if the citizens of this great country don't wake up & realize that if we don't take a history lesson & learn how this great country got started & realize that what we still need are God-fearing, Bible-believing leaders, this nation will not last. That is what this country was founded upon, & this nation has been blessed by & prospered because of this. And when those fundamental,foundational elements get left behind, as we've been seeing for several years now, we will see this great country fall. It has already become very shakey. But I believe that there is still hope because of many Christians who God honors their prayers to uphold this nation & it's Christian heritage. Please, I urge you to do some fair research on this subject-not just what you can find in secular publishings. There are some good resources available from places like "Focus On The Family" or "American Family Radio" or your local library. We need a President with true morals & Godly beleifs. We are not self-sufficient beings who can leave God out of the equation. Some might think they can for a while, but soon you know there is something crying out in all of us to be filled only by a holy God who loves us and is willing to save us. Only Jesus Christ can save us, not any president. But it is our moral duty to elect one who upholds God's laws to the best of his ability. No, he will not be perfect. No one is. But don't vote soley on the basis of party,race,or best speech. Search the real issues. Thank you.

Drug Use: Obama's and Basementfrog's of CA

Legalization is not such a bad idea is it? The idea that it is still in the same class as heroin is a little absurd, don't you think? There is a huge opportunity to harness the profits of marijuana by the government to subsidize all sorts of medical research.

The point you made about large corporations, "feeding fat food meals to our families" are you in no way responsible for what your family is eating? I know that I have put on a few pounds eating at these places, but I am not about to blame them for any weight I gain.

Do you know for a fact that Levi Johnston has a child with a 13 year old? Because I completely agree with you that if this is truly the case, he should be in jail if he was over 18 or there were circumstances that warrant criminal charges.

Wright.You didn't even answer the guy (John P. in Tex.)who asked why your man didn't enlist to do Something/Anything in the Armed Forces of our U.S.A., in Peacetime of all things! As far as Obamas' drug use goes , I'll go further than Jason asked ,I want to know if Obama ever tripped on L.S.D.? if so did he have any BAD TRIPS or has he experienced any FLASHBACKS ? DID HE SELL DRUGS to OTHERS ? That's of more use to the electorate in determining character.
