Palin

Gov. Sarah Palin is not a politician. She is an administrator who has had to deal with politicians, and it is obvious she is very capable at dealing with them. She appears to be honest, and have integrity. McCain is the engine on this train and she is the fuel. I was asked why and when I left the Democratic Party. My answer, "The party left me." This present day democratic party no longer embraces the ultimate good for the people nor the moral beliefs that my parents taught me was the core of the democratic party.

Palin appears to have the traits that we need. These are: honesty, integrity, and the insight and energy to find the answers and act upon them.

I am so disappointed that our most of the news media is bent on crucifying Sarah Palin rather than just reporting the events. I see no democrats receiving the same ill treatment. This is another reason that I believe the democratic party left me. The ill treatment of Sarah Palin by democrats and the news media is what the democrats used to call "gutter politics."

When any structure whether material, social, political, spiritual, etc. falls off its foundation, it will not stand. McCain and Palin appear to embrace the foundation set out by our founding fathers and that spells SECURITY for our nation

palin's a woman

palin's a woman, did ya'll notice? a big "talking point" for obama and the democrats was that mccain was soft in his support of women's rights. now he chooses a female running mate and obama chooses a male--go figure.

Character trumps experience

Things are often not as reported by the MSM. Who knew teenagers are more prone to commit to virginity, that many nations are not even replacing themselves and that someone (like Gov. Sarah Palin)taking their guidance from Biblical teaching (as once shepherd David who later became the King of Israel and in the human blood line of Jesus Christ)is smarter than their counselors. Least we continue to see a President operating in a vacuum, several of our recent presidents have surrounded themselves with older, wiser counselors. You may also fail to recognize that WE, THE PEOPLE, need to do our jobs - after all, is not this a government OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE!? Oh yes, please recognize that even in this "pluralist, globalist," country, there remains a core of Christians in every walk of life who will uphold this entire process of governance in prayer. One more thing the MSM won't tell you, God remains sovereign! Don't believe it? Consider Exodus, the Crucifixion, our War of Independence, and yes, even the "War on Terror". He is still very active in this world! Dave.

Biden is more suited to be President

If the democrat's biggest concern is that Sarah Palin doesn't have foreign experience, then what were they thinking when they elected Obama?

You can't have it both ways - if it's about experience, then Biden should be at the top of the ticket.

How many more votes than 18 million does it take for the democratic party to get a women on the presidential ticket anyways? You should stop taking the women's vote for granted.

Cheerleader

Yikes! Very disappointed. McCain picking Palin got his cheerleader at the expense of the people. Instead of picking someone who knew and understood the economy unlike himself or had experience he picks someone who gave good interview.

Never voted Democratic before and this will be the first time.

What happened to the McCain of 2000????????/

Wpuld Sarah Palin be a good president if she had to step in? Nobody really knows. She is certainly short on experience, and lackming any foreign policy credentials whatsoever. But she's shown herself to be an energetic leader who can bring about a certain amount of real change at the state level.

Does she increase McCain's chances? You betcha!

Palin is A Woman who was Mayor of a Town of 5,500 and spent 2 years as Governor of a State with a population of a Million or More and thats Enough to Appease You...You People are as Desperate as John McCain !!!

http://mudflats.wordpress.com/2008/08/29/what-is-mccain-thinking-one-alaskans-perspective/

Note: Barack Obama was a State Senator and is now a Federal Senator who sits on the Foreign Relations Committee alongside Joe Biden, who is his More Experienced senator, liken unto JFK and LBJ, but Palin's so called "Executive Experience" is a Rush Limbaugh-Sean Hannity ...JOKE on the American Populus...

MCCAIN-PALIN WILL.... LOSE

After extensive news coverage about all this nasty behind-the-scenes scandal, which is definitely NOT squeaky clean, Palin's approval ratings fell to 67%, still high, but a far cry from the 90% number that's being thrown around so glibly by the Republicans today. Alaskans are quickly becoming disillusioned once again.

"Executive Experience"

Before her meteoric rise to political success as governor, just two short years ago Sarah Palin was the mayor of Wasilla. I had a good chuckle at MSN.com's claim that she had been the mayor of "Wasilla City". It is not a city. Just Wasilla.

Wasilla is the heart of the Alaska "Bible belt" and Sarah was raised amongst the tribe that believes creationism should be taught in our public schools, homosexuality is a sin, and life begins at conception. She's a gun-toting, hang 'em high conservative. Remember…this is where her approval ratings come from.

There is no doubt that McCain again is making a strategic choice to appeal to a particular demographic - fundamentalist right-wing gun-owning Christians.

And Republican bloggers are already gushing about how she has 'more executive experience' than Obama does!

Above is a picture of lovely downtown Wasilla, for those of you unfamiliar with the area. Behind the Mug-Shot Saloon (the first bar I visited when I moved to Alaska long ago) is a little strip mall. There are street signs in Wasilla with bullet holes in them.

Note: Wasilla has a population of about 5500 people, and 1979 occupied housing units.

This is where your potential Vice President was two short years ago. Can you imagine her negotiating a nuclear non-proliferation treaty? Discussing foreign policy? Understanding non-Alaskan issues?

Frankly, I don't even know if she's ever been out of the country. She may 'get' Alaska, but there are only a half a million people here. Don't get me wrong….I love Alaska with all my heart. I'm just saying.

I, and all Alaskans will be interested to see how this whole process unfolds. This is definitely a gamble for McCain, and in my humble opinion, a gift to Obama and to Joe Biden who just got thrown a big hunk of red meat for the vice presidential debate.

This is the wedge-issue, desperate 'Hail Sarah' pass of the McCain campaign.

McCain's VP Nomination

McCain's pick of Palin is ironic, cynical, and irresponsible.

IRONIC because their chief tactic was to castigate Obama for his supposed lack of maturity and experience. She hereself confessed she had no thoughts or opinins on Iraq! This is esp. appaling given the fact that her own son is being deployed to Iraq! You'd have to search high and low to find someone less qualified than Palin.

CYNICAL: this is a desperate ploy to attract disaffected supporters of Hillary Clinton. Yet, it's an insult to women to imply that this empty pants suit Palin is a proper substitute for Hillary.

IRRESPOPNSIBLE: McCain has had cancer, incl.deadly melanoma, 4 times. If elected, and he had a disablitiy or died, Palin would face off against Putin, Iran, No. Korea, Chavez, and a host of complex foreign issues.

This mind blowing nomination illustrates again John McCain's impulsivity and abysmally poor judgement.

SMART WOMEN HOT MAMA

I think John is smarter than most people give him credit for. What a move for him to pick this diamond in the rough.I was not going to vote for the first time in my life but sarah being picked for vp has changed my mind.We must all relize that her being vp is better than (obummer)being our commander & chief.I hope that all you females out thier make the right vote and not let bitterness for a certain party cloud your judgement.Do your homework and dont let emotions get in the way if you want a real change put a good women in the white house. I WISH SHE WAS MY WIFE SHE IS ONE HOT NUMBER.AND SMART TO.
