People Be Honest
I think this year's Democratic primaries will be something never seen again--a woman and a Black man running for President of the US.
However, I think everyone needs to be honest about how we move forward. The primaries are a process. There must be a winner and loser. Unfortunately, Hillary lost. Everyone is saying that Hillary was so great by endorsing Obama and he should be so grateful. Let's be serious...If Hillary would have won, Obama would have been expected to do the same thing. In which he would have.
Yes, Obama may not be as experienced as McCain or Hillary. But he is also not a old as they are to have the experience. If Obama was 70+ he would have the 30 years of experience as McCain. Hillary was not the President, she was the first lady. And when does being the first lady equate to being able to lead the country? And while I would never take away that fact that he is a great veteran, does being a POW mean that you would be a great commander in chief? Colon Powell had great military experience and made a grave mistake when it came to the war.
We are talking about America. The same America that allowed a professional wrestler and actor to become governors of Minnesota and California. Did they have "experience?!?"
Based on the emotional responses of some individuals, I'm honestly led to believe that this is still an issue on race. I think most of America cannot grasp the idea of a Black man being President.
Everyone is entitled to do what they feel
Look, if you're going to vote for the oppressor, please do it with dignity and give a true reason. You are not the voice for all Democrats! Hillary lost because she thought she had it all in the bag. No, people want change and change they'll get. The only way Mcain is going to win is to STEAL the votes as the republicans have done in the past. DO YOU RECALL?
You and many others don't have to want change, but the young and old do. I believe that Obama gives good balance because he is not 100% Black or 100% White. He represents all and is a voice for all. Obama is a representative for the people. He does not control the house. The people control the house! You and everyone that is a pretender should vote and promote Mccain. If you're a true Democrat, you would vote for a Democrat no matter what candidate was running. Those who vote for Mccain never was a true Democrat. Stop living a lie and be up-front and show your true color. At least then we will have the real democrats support and not have to look over our shoulders.
**Obama is all man by himself; he never needed Hillary or her support, or yours for that matter. Hillary just acknowledged the fact that she lost. Now, she will vote for the person, she knows will get the job done.
It's a known fact that being white gets you a free ticket. NOT ANYMORE!!! The majority of the world is NOT FULL OF THEMSELFS AND STUCK ON BEING WHITE!!!EVEY AMERICAN THAT HAVE A VOICE AND CAN LEAD WILL LEAD!
DEMOCRACY THROWN UNDER BUS ...
So, now Obama and the DNC want to hold the roll call away from the main hall, and stop the vote partially through ... just in case Hillary does well, which might embarrass Obama and the DNC. This is what happens when a candidate and a party manipulate the process, and try to force a candidate down the throats of the constituents. Obama might have trashed the Clintons, and gotten over 90% of the black vote, but in the process America has been thrown under the bus.
Hillary Clinton wonderful speech at convention last night!
Hillary is an amazing, strong woman! I listened to her speech, i cried and i laughed. She has the qualifications as a leader and should have been our next president. She has done all she can for the democrat party and for Obama, it`s time he does somethings on his own. I think when the delegates & superdelegates did not vote for Hillary as the people of their states she won did; that caused the biggest rip in the party. Then taking or cutting states votes in half...to really ensure obama got the win, deepened it more. "We the people" were not heard or represented and that is the message we got. The party didn`t care about us, and now we do not care about them. McCain will win and its the delegates, the superdelegates and the DNC`s own fault. Obama is not ready to lead our country or deal with other countries. This fall the Dems will lose, they made the choice for us, and now we will make our own.I vote for the best person, regardless of party. I willbe voting now for McCain, who by the way is offering tax cuts for Middle Class families, and will bring jobs here in America. He was a former P.O.W....NOW THAT SHOWS HOW TOUGH THE MAN IS. Americans need to appreciate the freedoms, that people like John McCain has given them. OBAMA IS NOT EXPERIENCED OR PREPARED to be our president, or deal with tough foreign countries. AND THAT IS A HUGE DEAL! I love Hillary and the Clinton Family, we had good years with Bill in the White House. If Hillary had won, we wouldn`t be going through any of this mess. Hillary can not carry Obama....more proof that he is not capable of doing it on his own. Why isn`t she even on the ticket????...Obama has an ego of hot air, enough to fill the room by himself. He knows Hillary out shines him in every way professionally, and he does not like it. Well i have news for Obama, the Clintons will be around for a long, long time and they have a huge crowd of followers. People believe in them, they are sincere, they care about our families...how do we know this is to be true? BECAUSE WE LIVED IT, WHEN BILL CLINTON WAS THE PRESIDENT. That is experience and proof. I don`t vote for someone because someone tells me to, i have to vote with my heart and the facts.

"The best thing we can do is vote for McCain"
1) Hillary committed party suicide in her attacks on Barack Obama, especially if they cost the democrats the presidency. She can't win in 4 years any more than she could win this year. She didn't lose because she got "backseated", she lost because of the Clinton legacy. How much baggage do these people have? For every Clinton lover, there is at least one Clinton hater. Do you not remember Bill on TV saying "I did not have sexual relations with that woman?" That's not Hillary's fault, but she tied to it.
2) McCain as president? Stevens is old as dirt and Ginsberg is not well. Both are waiting for a democrat to retire. Are you sure they can wait/live for another 4 years? How do you like 2 more Antonin Scalia's on the Supreme Court -- because Jon McCain will give them to you! Regardless of whether or no Roe v. Wade gets overturned, the court will keep cutting away at Equal Rights, Abortion Rights, Gun laws, domestic violence (remember when the Supreme Court struck down the violence against women act?)
Grow up. Your candidate lost because no one bought that ridiculous experience argument and were turned off by her acting like a republican (the 2am phone call ad--? elect a democrat and a terrorist will kill you?)
Jon McCain stands against equal protection for women, against contraceptive equity, and in favor of the same Bush war mongering policies and economic problems that are ruining our friggin' country. If you want to shoot yourself in the face to spite America for failing to elect Hillary Clinton, you'll deserve the fate that McCain is going to dump on you.

Obama did exactly what Frederick Douglas did to the Women's movement, he put women in the back seat once again. Although I will not be voting for McCain- to do so would be in violation of everything I stand for- I shall not cast another vote for another man so long as I shall live.
I am tired of men ruining/running my country!
Want to actually know what's true??
If you really want the non-partisan truth check out either one or both of these two sites:
politifact.com
snopes.com
Those of you that claim you know the truth... check it out and see if you really do. The site lists all its sources.
I'm sure though that the ones that find their "truth" was wrong will find ways to say these sites are bogus. They are not bogus and they are non-partisan.
Hillary's Speech
It would have been political suicide for Hillary Clinton to turn her back on the Democratic Party, she has no choice but to support Obama. The best thing we can do at this point is to vote for McCain, allowing Hillary to run again in 4 years.
No Way, No How, No McCain!
Hilary did a convincing job explaining in her speech why if you like her platform, then vote Obama and if you like Bush's leadership, then vote for McCain. She kept it light. She was cracking jokes. She made all the right references. She performed well. Warner gave a great speech as well. I can't wait to hear Obama's!
Hillary Clinton to Supporters
Hillary gets an A+ for her tremendous, persuasive speech tonight !! Obama is very lucky to have Hillary supporting him like this. This is unprecedented. Now it is up to Obama. Unfortunately his inexperience will become a larger issue the closer we get to November.
