CHARACTER COMPARISON ...

CHARACTER COMPARISONS ...

Lofty speeches are great ... but actons

speak louder than words !!!

In addition to 20+ more years of service and

experience in the U.S. senate than the other

candidate ...

One candidate, John McCain watched his fellow

prisoner's backs, at great cost to himself. After

3 years as a tortured P.O.W. in Vietnam, he was

offered early release by the enemy. But, since it

would have been dishonorable to get released

before his fellow prisoners, he refused, which

resulted in 2 1/2 additional years of torture and

captivity.

The other candidate, Barack Obama threw his

self proclaimed friend, spiritual advisor, and mentor

of 20 years, under the bus for political expediency and gain.

To vote for Obama, after learning these differences ...

will say as much about your character, as it does about

the character of the two candidates.

Election of 2008

Obama you will become America next President McCain is another George Bush who doesn't care about his country. When do we get a breath from taxes, wars, and why is the economy basic on money, oil,and wars. what about eigthteen through twentyfour that are suffering? How come the America is so focus on drug when drug are ship and handling from all overseas.McCain you haver never once stated in your speech that America will over come the ostacles that we face for centries.Obama I applaud you for becoming the president that America needs and not just what the economy wants.

ThankYou, President Obama

Obama on fiscal and foreign policy

Barack Obama will not win in November unless he explains where the money will come from to fund the big increases in federal spending and tax credits for "worthy" groups that he has proposed. Taxing "big corporations" and "the rich" won't raise enough money to fund all of his campaign promises. To keep his promises, he will have to increase the federal deficit and taxes on the middle class. Obama also has to acknowledge that we live in a dangerous world with the KGB back in power in Moscow, Iran close to getting nuclear weapons and Islamic radicals still seeking another 9/11. Offering to sit down and have tea with our enemies is not good enough. Unless he can come up with good answers to these questions, I am a centrist Democrat who will vote for McCain.

Reality

Seriously, McCain for Pres? God help us. McCain has not made ONE suggested change to the Bush agenda. NOT ONE. Is America really happy with things? No one is EVER ready to be President, one has to rise to the occasion. Obama is in touch, understands what Americans need and want, and exemplifies opportunity. Only Obama embraces the hopes and potential of Americans. McCain merely represents a tired and failed agenda. McCain has no originality, only represents status quo. That's the difference. HOPE for a BETTER AMERICA or ACCEPT the way things are. I have HOPE. AMERICA needs hope and faith in our own abilities to overcome the enormous chagllenges we face. The difference between OBAMA and MCCAIN is that OBAMA is saying AMERICAN can do this; McCAIN stands for lets stay the course. AMERICAN AND THE WORLD NEEDS A NEW COURSE, LETS VENTURE INTO THOSE UNCHARTED WATERS WITH OBAMA AND HAVE FAITH THAT WE CAN.

Where is McCain in the middle class question

While the blue collar workers try to assess Obama as their working class hero, I can't help but wonder what they think their option is with McCain, as it appears obvious to anyone, the Republicans have throttled the American Dream, demoralized our Country to the rest of the world, shipped jobs out to the highest bidder, sided with corporate conglomerates that no longer have addresses on Wall Street, what is left to scrutinize Obama about? Clearly, Obama has already proven he lives above that threshhold, however, we continue to read in the press that the blue collar Americans are "hesitant" to run with Obama/Biden. We are going to have rocky times no matter who is in the White House because the economic collapse we see on the horizon has been on hold for 5 years now and even Wall Street's sleight of hand isn't agile enough to keep juggling the finances. They have fallen. Who picks up the pieces is the bigger question. Bush is wanted as a war criminal in many countries around the world. Is that incredible enough to make a change?

Sorry Kim...

I didn't mean to disparage your inspiration. I was really speaking to those who think that a good story is a bad thing, like the post from Peter just before yours. You should be inspired by good people. Those who aren't inspired-- check your pulse!

Issues, my friends....

What the "eff" does it matter if Barack and Michelle have a good story?! That makes then LESS appropriate for being elected?

Issues, concerns- talk about real things. Who cares if Obama is coming off as a celebrity. That's a good thing if you think he's the right one for the office, don't you? If you don't, then you just feel threatened by his popularity, you don't understand, and it makes you angry. And you don't know why you're angry.

I say you, and I, are angry because the past eight years has been an affront to all Americans, and everything is being taken away from us- liberties, jobs, financial stability, health and well-being, a clean environment, A Future For Your Children!!!. And you don't know who to blame. When the going gets tough, the powerful elite create divisiveness and scapegoats. Think Germany under the Nazis. But it happens all over- it's the perfect path to power. That and create a perpetual war. (But that's for another post.)

By the way, just an aside, look up the Bush family's involvement in financing the Nazis-- Prescott Bush in particular.

They've got you, good Americans, hating us, good Americans, as if we, "the Liberals" did it to you, "the Conservatives". No- the corporate greed machine is doing it to all of us, The Americans! We are being divided so that we're ineffective, don't you know? We can't take on the real enemy when we're fighting amongst ourselves.

John McCain is probably just an innocent dupe. I think he's a good guy, and wants to be elected to do good things. But to do so, he's sold his soul to those very same corporate greed-bags. He's no longer our friend. Stop trashing hope, stop letting the power elite twist your thoughts for you- think for yourself like you know you can.

Barack & Michelle

I believe the story of Barack and Michelle is wonderfully inspiring! They are smart and ambitious people who I would be proud to have represent me and my country!

Michelle and Barrack Love Story

Democratic convention turns out just "Michelle and Barrack" love story episode. It would be better to read "Romeo and Juliet" than Obama's love story. They're celebrity and now on love novel. LOL

Kennedy legacy

How can Obama's camp be so educted and yet so naive. They borrowed a very public speech and got caught. They use a catch phrase from a child's toy "yes we can" Bob the builder. They flaunt the Kennedy clan. I understand the Kennedy's are big contributors, but are they worth losing your life? When I think of the Kennedy's I think of tragedies. I'm not going to actually type the word A.... I don't want the secret service at my front door. Obama will never be president. I aready feel sorry for his family. He's a tragedy waiting to happen.
