Campaign 2008

Obama Campaign Presses the Attack Over McCain's Houses Gaffe

Democrats use the lapse to portray the Republican nominee as out of touch—and old

Posted August 22, 2008

Democrats are still piling on John McCain today for "losing track" of how many houses he and his wife own.

Spokesmen for the Barack Obama campaign and for the Democratic National Committee have been raising questions about whether McCain's failure to come up with the number of his own properties indicates he is out of touch with everyday Americans and their struggles to cope with the current economic downturn.

Inside the Obama campaign, Democratic insiders are delighted with the negative coverage McCain is attracting in the media, and the Democrats are doing all they can to fuel the fire. The DNC has released "person on the street" videos that show individuals displaying astonishment at McCain's lapse. The DNC and the Obama campaign are also sending reporters summaries of news stories and local TV pieces critical of McCain on the issue.

The Republican presidential candidate started the fuss earlier this week when he fumbled a question from Politico about how many houses he owns. He hemmed and hawed, then said, "I'll have my staff get to you."

One sidelight that may become a larger issue is a series of what seem to be subtle references to McCain's age. His critics don't overtly say he is 71 in the current torrent of zingers, but some of the criticism uses terms such as McCain "losing track" of his homes and getting forgetful, raising questions about his mental alertness.

McCain's advisers are counterattacking by criticizing Obama for getting help in purchasing his Chicago "mansion" from a felon.

McCain is Financial Secure by marrying money

John McCain and the Cindy Hensley McCain Trust parade of homes.

The home they sold in 2006 was Cindy's parents home she inherited. It sold for $3.2 million. The home sat on 2.7 acres, and had the following: 13 bedrooms, 14 1/2 bathrooms, 7 car garage, and 10 fireplaces. It had 15,000 square foot of living space.

The Architectural Digest did a review of one of thier homes in 2005. Most likely this home.

No one is sure if they own 7, 8 or even more homes. All properties are listed in the name of Cindy Hensley McCain Trust.

John McCain met Cindy when he was still married to his first wife. He was out looking for a replacement since his first wife was in a car accident and was no longer the beautiful model he had married. He was divorced in 1980 and married Cindy that same year.

american fever

what happened to mc cain is not unsual.

he is forgetful?

what do you think of someone talking of obama as lacking experience?

what experience had Christ to take on the highly religious jews, saducees and the pharisees?

what experience had a 30yr-old man to preace a change admist the warlords who had lived on war all their lifes?

what experience had a Man that effected a change that changed the whole world?

Americans are highly forgetful; Mac cain isn'nt just an exemption.

about war and shedding of blood;

if you really care to know why he favors it.

then read further about CAIN in the book of Genesis.

reality not rascality

to be at peace with the rest of the world is knowing what is needed and doing it as a nation. warmongers are rascals.

the likes of abraham lincoln, jf kennedy, bill clinton ,to mention a few, never displayed rascality but pure reality by addressing the needs of majority not of the few bougeios who could not keep count of their properties and investments.

messiahs are never appreciated though but thank God that americans grapped the hint at this point . i wish posterity will not adjudge us worse than the jews who hang their own when they ought to have needed him most.
