Media wrong again

Amazing. Why is Georgia not being reprimanded for starting this mess? Faux news actually cut off a woman on their show who thanked the Russians for coming to their defense. I can't believe they think we will fall for this spin.

Americans Are Being Misled

I am disgusted with the way this country has positioned itself on the global arena after the collapse of the Soviet Union. There is a victorious "hangover" after the end of the Cold War. Americans need to remember it was the Soviets who made the first stop to ease the tensions. The U.S. has not won the war in direct confrontation, but acted as if it did. Instead of making world a safer place, the only so-called remaining superpower did exactly the opposite. Separating Kosovo from Serbia is ok, but recognizing Abhazian and South Ossetian independence from Georgia - isn't. Saddam's killing of the Kurds is genocide, Saakashvili's ethnic cleansing in Tskhinvali isn't. The U.S. government is not making this world safer, and time will prove this. People in Washington don't realize the boys and girls in Iraq, Serbia, Caucasus, Afghanistan, and other hot spots will remember what America stands for today - double standards and disregard to their essential human rights. Where were the CNNs and others to show these atrocities? The U.S. media is in fact so one sided that we should stop criticizing China and look at our own backyard.

We are getting closer to the eve of destruction

I just think that the gap that is seperating those who have traditional family values and are Christians and patriots is getting so broad now that there is no return and once our US Constitution is stripped away by the ACLU, those things we hold precious will be gone. Communism is closing in on us, Islamic radicalism is closing in on us and secular humanism is here, as is satanism and witchcraft.

We need a hero for our president. I don't know if that is McCain, I know it isn't Obama and I am feeling as though there is no hope for this nation. Would George Washington please step forward.

spelling correction[ invoking]

P.S . I also wish to thank the soldier from Oklahoma for all that you and yours have sacrificed & pray for your safe return .

Reality Check

Obamas' penchant for envoking the spirit of a mythical yet dangerously flawed Camelot should be retired .Young Jack Kennedy was viewed by Kruschev as being out of his depth.During their first summit, the Soviet Premier recalled with amusement how Kennedy was sweating profusely & chainsmoking.Perhaps that initial impression gave the Soviets a green light to sneak offensive nuclear missles into Castros' Cuba.If history is any teacher all should realize the gravity of what is at stake at this moment.

A new low

The Neocons have reached new lows in their reasoning, which I did not think possible. We are supposed to help Georgia suppress the South Ossetians from leaving? Remember, Texas broke away from Mexico in order to join the U.S. Even W. should know that.

Bush Do as I say not as I do

It was OK for us to invade Iraq, but it is unacceptable for Russia to invade Georgia. Seems like the pot calling the kettle black as they used to say.

LIBERAL OBAMA OR NEO-CON/NEO-LIB MC-CAIN

The political struggle between a young, bright, pleasing, honest, competent, unifying, benevolent, and politically sane leader; and an old, dull, obnoxious, incompetent, dishonest, divisive, vicious, and politically insane leader and is a classic struggle between good and evil.

Deploying Soldier of OK

I thank you a thousand times over for your service. My husband was in Desert Storm. My father and father-in-law both service in WWII and father-in-law was in Korea and VN. I know what scarific is and believe me my father was shot with a machine gun up his leg during WWII and my father-in-law was wounded in VN. We use to sit around talking about war and even the flag. I used to get upset when I see someone burning the flag but its funny both father-in-law and dad said that fought for the right of that person to burn the flag even though they didn't like it. Its funny I never see McCain wear a Flag pin. Does that make him un-american? Obama loves his country and keeps stating it and I can't change your mind and that is OK. Oh by the way did you know that more military are giving to the Obama camp than to McCain camp. That should tell you something.

Mccain

It seems that everyone that is making these comments, have never been in the military, or been under extreme pressure of being a POW.. As a deploying soldier, i would like to see this war in Iraq be over with. I agree with some of you John McCain does lack the experience to run a country, however are you going to rely on a man, that refuses, to salute MY FLAG, that i sacrifice for, and that my wife sacrifices for. I think America has lost its values, and it makes me wonder why i leave my family, and fight for freedoms for you people, so they can take advantage of them.
