I agree with the poster who contrasted Obama's response to the Russian attack on Georgia with McCain's. This continues to be a very dangerous world that contains ambitious and brutal dictators - Putin is only one of them-and dictators just aren't like Obama's constituency on the campuses or in Hollywood. There is still a great deal about Obama that we do not know. And what we do know bothers a lot. How could he have been a member of Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years and not have known that preacher's views? Wm. Ayers was an American terrorist and defied capture for years along with his mate Ms Dohrn. What exactly is the fascination they hold for Obama? The Catholic priest Pfeiffer has admittedly radical views- certainly by my standards. Mrs. Obama believes the US to be a "mean" country and only recently did she feel any pride in living in the US. My parents were immigrants to the US. They worked hard and taught me to do the same. They were proud to be Americans. So am I. This may sound unsophisticated to those elitists who regard the US as simply another country. But I prefer the patriotism of John McCain to that of Obama and company.

I'm voting for Barack Obama as well as my WHOLE family. I have met more people who will vote for Obama and only ONE who said he would vote for McCain. Where in this country are the media and the like going to get these horrible reviews. Has any one read any of Barack's books? Has any one researched his background? Has anyone reviewed gone to the website Library of Congress Thomas to review what works Barack has his name on? Come on people, get intersted enough to find out what this man is about. One last comment--how many times have you made a different decision when you get all the facts, or when you realize you could have possibly been wrong the first time around. • For the first time, he now speaks highly of using church-based institutions to deliver public services to the poor.
• Having based his entire campaign on withdrawal from Iraq, he now pledges to consult with the military first.
• During the primary, he backed merit pay for teachers -- but before the union a few weeks ago, he opposed it.
• After specifically saying in the primaries that he disagreed with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's (D-N.Y.) proposal to impose Social Security taxes on income over $200,000 and wanted to tax all income, he has now adopted the Clinton position.

This is the US Presidential election...not American Idol! THe issue is NOT either of the two candidates...but the Partys! How much more education do these so called "Americans" need...or should I say US News journalists?

We are a Democratic family and we will not be voting for Obama in November. We simply can't believe that someone so inexperienced and so arrogant is the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party.

It is amusing that people who dilike Obama say his economic plan will "ruin the country." What do they think the past 8 years has done???????
Increased deficits, increased debt, less jobs, more unemployment since those who can't find work aren't counted, two incredibly expensive lost wars, trade deficits, insane trade policies, a gap with the rich and the poor we have never seen, the housing crisis, the credit crisis, the lack of saving, the price of health care, corruption and lies.
Seems to me the country is already having some issues......
