Despite Obama's Efforts, Clinton Supporters Won't Fade Away
Obama and Clinton released a statement of unity, but some Clinton supporters are still angry

Chris in GA,
Our Candidate got the most votes without your support. How many of the 96% of black voters for Obama only voted for him because he's (half) black? Isn't basing your vote on someone's color ... RACIST?
News for you: blacks and youth, while favoring the democrats, both have notoriously low turn-out rates. The middle class whites, who your Sun-god Messiah insulted, are the reliable voters.
Oh and, BTW, nobody, especially us PUMAs, with our claws and our fangs, respond well to threats. Your challenge for '12 accepted with relish.
Hillary Clinton getting the Democratic Nomination
I believe the way Obama is going down in the polls especially
since his 'European' trip and his elitist pompous comments
at the Berlin wall.. acting like hes' already President.
combined with the fact that it's an uphill climb for
him to win over the forty percent or more of the white
vote that he needs to win the presidency.. combined
with the fallout from Rev. Wright.. and Michelle Obamas
comments about not being proud, along with Obama's elitist
comments about' white working class voters at San Francisco
etc..Now the ObaMA nATION BOOKS ETC. VETTING/OUTING HIM.
This should have been a shoe-in for any Democrat to be
beating the Republican nominee with Bush administration
getting such horrendously low national approval ratings.
Also Hillary is 'clearly' way more experienced and
qualified to be president.. and Obama who's claim to
fame was' his 'aura' and belief that 'he transcended
race.. while now "he' himself has brought race into
the mix... He's lost that trump card... ThaT ALONG
with the evidence that Hillary's supporters have not
for the most part crossed over into being Obama Supporters
make a 'very very' strong case for Hllary winning the
democratic nomination as she stands a much better chance
beating McCain.
The elephant in the room is 'political correctness.'
It's been said it will be this country's downfall.
Now with the stakes as high as they are and our country
being in such a vulnerable state. economically and
abroad. and the IRaq war etc.. So much hanging in
the balance. Will their be enough courage at the Democratic
Convention.. to overcome the fear and backlash from the
Black Community. and potential for violent racial opposition
should Hillary get the nomination over Obama. It seems
clear from even the backlash from Corsinis' book
on OBama Nation and a lot else.. that like Michelle Obama
herself said I believe. that Blacks don't trust whites
and are always expecting anything they get or achieve to be
'taken away ' from 'them' the Black Community.. In this case the Democratic Nomination. THe atmosphere is so tense
right now.. that nobody better say 'anything against
Obama. that any opposition is 'tagged' 'rascist.. I believe
the fear that an Obama Presidency will be the most
politically correct presidency is a very scary and
valid one. What will become of our Democratic freedoms
like Freedom of Speech under the First Amendment when
white people feel inhibited from saying anything against
Obama, his presidency. We already feel the pressure
and feel great restriction on our freedom of speech. Even Black people who dare Speak against Obama.. are considered traitors
to their race. Why should he be treated with kid gloves just
because he's black.. It's like 1984 and the Free Speech Police.
.
HOW TO SHUT DOWN THE bs
I really don't get the problem. Isn't the idea here to win?
If so many people want Hillary in the White House...why not just do it.
VP Is better than all this so called in fighting.
I personally don't think there is another candidate that can stand with Obama and fight the fight he is going to HAVE-to wage against the McCain-Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld-Libby-machine.
These people do not give a rats butt about truth honesty character constitution..and the list goes on.
What makes anyone think this is not all out war to keep America in the hands of the minds who produced The Patriot Act, spying on it citizens with impunity and subverting the AG's office to political puppets.
People, you better hope it Hillary...cause all the so-called potentials will not make it Thu the season alive.
MESS IN 08
Black people dont need soothing,we overcame but nobody told you. In this country I have more than my share. An affirmative action POTUS is no POTUS. Nobama will never be elected not in 08 nor 2012,unless you start a Nobama party,GOOD LUCK!! Excuse me but white America has to their credit, moved over enough the rest is up to us. Cmon I AM BLACK and I know 96 percent are voting Nobama because of his skin not his ability. Lets be honest with America so we can fix this MESS IN 08.
We Need a Woman President
...and Hillary's the closest thing we're going to get for awhile.
Obama is in trouble!
PUMA PUMA PUMA PUMA! Obama may not think their is a division in the party, but he will in DENVER!
Sympathy, Nostalgia Not Enough to Save Hillary
I think everyone -- even die-hard feminists -- has a soft spot for a woman who nobly endured repeated, public humiliation at the hands of a leering, groping horn-dog husband whose only saving grace was that he happened to be The Most Powerful Man in the World, and her backstage pass to the Corridors of the Mighty. Not that she couldn't have made it to the US Senate on her own talents and initiative, but we'll never know. Hill & Bill are a package deal, like Ferdinand and Imelda, Svengali and Trilby, Stanley and Stella Kowalski. Hillary isn't a solo candidate -- she's one-half of a pair of Siamese Politicos.
Some Dems, too, are wont to wistfully recall the Clinton administration of the '90s -- not, of course, for its rightward lurch, its corporate coziness, it's mixed bag of failures and compromised successes, or the almost operatic scale of its scandals, casual malfeasances and shady entanglements...but because putting a pair of charismatic Arkansas country slicks in the White House was the ultimate insult to the DC ruling class of preppy Republican tight-asses.
Alas, it's not the same time or the same zeitgeist. I'd love to watch the "Hill&Bill Show" in reruns on Nick at Nite, but I'm not interested in seeing all-new episodes with an aging cast. "Return to Gilligan's Island" was enough for me.
Hillary or McCain. It's that simple for
a lot of dems.

I wouldn't publicly campaign for Obama either if I were Bill Clinton. It's not called being a "sore loser," it's called believing in someone that can truly get the job done. Not all of us believe in pretty speeches or want to vote for someone merely because he's black. We want a candidate of substance who can speak a complete sentence without stuttering. Who has the experience to know what she's talking about. Who has learned from past mistakes. Most of us are not interested in electing someone because he looks and sounds good when he gives a speech that someone else wrote from a teleprompter. Most of us don't care to chant his name. Clinton is simply more qualified for the job and it's absolutely unheard of that we are stuck with this guy. It really is. Some of us democrats are just sick. There's no one for us to vote for unless we us this vote as a protest. There really is no one, and it's frustrating. If he at least puts Hillary on the ticket he makes himself at least somewhat qualified. It would make sense. Especially if he really wants to win. He's ignorant and arrogant and a fool if he thinks he's going to win without her. I think his supposedly "good judgement" will have taken a turn for the EVEN worse. Don't get me wrong, in eight years I would love to vote Obama....but right now, hell no. He reminds me of George's Bush. <shudder> Let the man get some experience and prove himself first. We wouldn't elect an inexperienced white guy either. C'mon now.
The one and only "person" for the job
Was Edwards another Nader in a presidential election? Could very well be? To those of you waiting for him to choose Mrs Clinton VP, forget it! He never will, because she commands much more attention, and we've seen how he thrives on that. Remember the bride never lets the bridesmaid have a nicer dress, because she will draw from the star of the day. She is the only one out of all the candidates, on both sides, who understands the gravity of the world situation, the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and our economic woes here at home. She is someone we could trust. Mr McCain is a warrior, and I respect that, but what about everything else? Mr Obama likes to give speeches, because that's what he is good at. Where does he stand on anything? Who knows, he keeps changing to suit the audience.(I found it particularly disturbing when a man in Germany, after hearing his speech, called him his new messaih.) You may not agree with everything Hillary stands for, but you know what she believes and there are no surprises. I believe that if Obama becomes president, that the democrats who helped him will finally see there is nothing behind the speeches and the photo ops. We will all suffer the consequences. Please help our country. Someone has to find a way to stop this travisty. If not I will vote McCain to help PREVENT Obama from winning.
