'Obama Fatigue' Could Follow Avalanche of News Coverage
A new poll finds voters might be beginning to tire of Obama's high media profile

Media influance of elections Right/Wrong
This is another perfect example of the media acting unethically by giving more coverage to their favorite candidate. On purpose or not it's a fact that it happens. Money has nothing to do with it, unless these reporters are getting payola. As far as I can tell candidates don't pay for media coverage just advetisements.
So like it or not it's getting to the point where we need legislation allowing candidates to sue for lack of or unequal media attention. What ever heppened to media ethics and the general desire to do what's right when covering politics? It's the media's duty to our country and citizens to provide unbiased equal coverage unless they out right admit their political affiliations. For a media group that claims to be impartial it is not only immoral to give unequal coverage to candidates of any election, it is against everything that this country, our constitution, our democracy, and our free elections stand for. As long as it continues to go on our votes mean nothing. Quite simply because we only vote for the candidate they tell us about the most.
Imagine if earlier in the Primarys you picked up a newspaper. News coverage of the candidates was broken up into one article for each candidate with the same amount of words for each person. Instead of something fair like that we had one article covering mainly one or two candidates, mentioning the others in passing because they didn't have the same numbers in the polls. Well maybe they'd get the same numbers if they got the same media attention.
So...what's new?
This story could be funny if it wasn't obviously true.
It's Your Fault, Media
I agree with the comments above. You, the writer of this article, and the rest of the media, have been covering every nuance of Obama since the primaries have been won. "Obama Picks His Nose." "Obama Prefers Low Cholesterol Breakfast." While all the while McCain is pimping his wife, and you dont report about it, McCain has flip-flopped on yet another issue, and you don't report about it.
Media, get off you butts and do your jobs !! Cover Obama less and McCain more. You are the problem.
Keep up the overkill
The more they hear of the "One", the more I hope people sit up and pay attention to the fact that he is really nothing new. There is no "hope and change" just the same old, same old. This lifelong Democrat will take her chances on that old man McCain rather than this untested flip flopping inexperienced chicago politician who will throw anyone under the bus and has no core convictions. My main opposition to him is that he has not accomplished anything in his so called political career. Everyone just keeps saying he's hope and change. Take that message to the gas pump.
Campaign fatigue
I'm so tired of hearing political speeches, promises, changes in stance. So here is my solution. Any and all campaigns should start 3 months before the election - NO SOONER.
Since they are all currently in a government positions they should be doing the job they were elected to do and being paid to do. They should not be prancing around the country and world on my dime. If I did that to my boss the pink slip would be on my desk immediately.
Tired of hearing it..........Tired of paying for it.
Thanks, Science!
So basically a scientific poll is corroborating what McCain's "Britney and Paris" ad was saying -- that the public is being subjected to an obsessive press corps that follows Obama around like papparazzi and reports on his every move. Obama may have "star power" but does he make good decisions?
Not every critique of Obama is an 'attack' ... but it seems like every time McCain points out the obvious, Obama accuses him of mudslinging.
Obama
I could feel feel better about those who smear Obama on blogs if I knew those that oppose Obama are opposing him based on his so called liberal stances on various political issues ,and not on the fact they want this war to continue and expanded to the rest of the mideast. At this point in the election I feel those that oppose him are more interested in war then if he is a big spender.
I don't understand
I've heard the chattering classes (i.e. the MSM) say over and over and over again in the past few days that people are unsure of Obama and that his challenge now is to let everyone know who he is and what he stands for.
But now the same chattering classes are saying that, oh no, what we mean is that America has heard too much about him. Honestly, what is it?
First, I think the complaint that the media swoons over Obama is far overstated.
Second, the media obviously need to find a different model. Say, do it's job reporting on more factual news items from around the country and abroad. The current model seems to be, find a blowhard with an opinion and then repeat that opinion 24-7 for a week until you're beating a dead horse.
then stop publishing it
The irony of a magazine reporting this is deafening. Stop blaming people for what the media does.
Hah, Hah.
The liberal media coverage of Obama is backfiring.
