Comment for: Obama Fatigue versus McCain said or did what?
And what exactly is it that Obama brings to the American people?
We hear "Change", "Change", and more "Change". What exactly are those "Changes"? He certainly hasn't said. I found it quite interesting that the only "change" I've seen mentioned is when his wife made the comment that she wanted to "change American traditions". That in itself in scarry. What traditions? Change from what to what? No one explained that. Of course, I think that must have been right after her comment, "for the first time, I'm proud to be an American". Well, what the heck took so long????
She was so busy pointing out the her husband was a wonderful man. So what!! So is my husband. It doesn't mean I would want him to be President. It's all FLUFF. You ever heard the term, "smoking guns?". This is what that term refers too. The man has said nothing with any substanance.
"Fresh ideas?" What are they? Where would one go to find them? How can we define fresh ideas when none have been given? Your ideas define who and what you are! We know he's Pro-choice. Is this a fresh idea? What are his views on gun control? Here's an enlightning article on his view of guns.

How sad and pathetic that your issues with McCain appear to be the fact that he's old. Do you have parents? How about Grand-parents? Do you view them as washed-up, old has beens? Probably so!
As far as reference to his service to his country! It's due to men like McCain that you have your freedom. People like you sicken me. Did it ever occur to you that maybe with 26 years in Washington, that yea,he could concur that things were indeed broken? No, I don't imagine that you can see that. You're too busy looking at the white hairs on his head. What a real idiot!
McCain--Stuff Stuff
I don't see McCain taking a fatigue holiday! I guess McCain is tougher at his age than Obama. Obama needs a holiday and McCain keeps right on going! McCain has been going as long as Obama without a break..Maybe junior needs some vitamins> This old guy is whipping his butt!
Overdosing on Obama
Why is it that every other word out of John McCain's mouth is OBAMA ? He is more guilty than anyone else of keeping his name in the news. Now that Obama will be taking a holiday, McCain can trip over his own words. I would make it impossible to have any contact with Obama and his family. What will he do when he doesn't have Obama for a crutch anymore. I have heard many people say that Obama has to grow some SNICKERS because he is coming across as a wimp.It is much too early to go on the attack. John McCain is using up all of his ammunition without hitting his target. Come November John McCain is going down.
SUE
Here is some info about Obama--obviously you have not done your own research. And about the old man--he is just too old and having a few too many senior moments.
“…..He overcame the discrimination of an immigrant background, and a racially mixed family, as well as the loss of a father, sporadic poverty and the distractions of his teenage youth, to become a Harvard Magna *** Laude, a civil rights lawyer, a state senator and a US senator. This history is both a validation of his spirit AND of the national pursuit of the American dream for all. “Yes we can” is much more than a slogan in the context of his life. The far Right will undoubtedly try to discredit him by highlighting the forks in his path where he temporarily stalled. But his ultimate choices will discredit their cynicism and inspire an uncertain younger generation to make the right choices, themselves. Further, the cingular act of electing him would reassert America’s resilience in the world without a single policy debate. It would be tangible proof that American’s still value opportunity and equality for all even after 911.
His bio can be found at http://votesmart.org/bio.php?can_id=9490
His legislative experience is much greater than
Hillarys. See http://thomas.loc.gov
During the first (8) eight years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced
233 regarding healthcare reform,
125 on poverty and public assistance,
112 crime fighting bills,
97 economic bills,
60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,
21 ethics reform bills,
15 gun control,
6 veterans affairs and many others.
His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included:
**the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law),
**The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law),
**The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate,
**The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law),
**The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more.”
Even Despite Advantage
I find it remarkable that the race is essentially dead even. And this is despite the best efforts of the media to convince me to mindlessly vote with the huge flock of sheep that worship the man. Oh, I started out as a supporter of Obama. He does come across as a very reasonable man. At first, it was refreshing. But the word "Change" started to ring hollow. And the amount of "change" in terms of flip-flopping he has done with relatively little challenge from the media really bothers me. No Republican or Independent could have gotten away with that. In the end, the arrogance of the media has completely turned me off. Obama has enjoyed a level of coddling that is unprecedented. Softball questions, a monopoly on coverage, absolutely no serious review of his past. I have heard too many negative things from other sources on Obama's past to stick with him as a candidate. McCain is far from perfect, but perfection is not available in this race. I'm afraid it is one vote for McCain.
For the media? Your gross over reporting and worshiping of Obama is turning off a lot of people. And it may cost Obama the election.
We've been repressed by cry of "racist"!
This is'nt "Obama fatigue" strictly speaking. There are just a lot of people (Clinton supporters and others) who have been afraid to speak out. Obama followers are so aggressivly ageist, sexist and ready to cry "racist" that we have not felt free to express honest doubts and opinions. Add to that MCain who is the most palatable g.o.p. to many democrats and you have a silent segment willing wait and take it to the voting booth.
Obama could easily combat this by asking Clinton to run with him and emphasizing his commitment to the American middle class. Having Clinton as his running mate shows personal security and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done right. It's great that foreigners like him but they don't get to vote. I think the "world community" would like anyone better than Bush if he or she were willing to work with them and honor diplomacy and world view. (While he is at it he could daringly blaze a trail about energy policy and global warming and the peril the world environment is in because of failing oceans.)
Senator McCain needs to take off the gloves.
It's time for the McCain camp to take off the gloves and realize that nice guys finish last.
The McCain people need to challenge Obama to define what he means by "change and hope" and to elaborate on what he means when he states "citizens of the world our time has come." He needs to be asked who he is referring to when he states "our time." Who's time? The German People, to whom he was speaking? The Europeans? The peoples of the Middle East? God forbid he include Americans in his all inclusive oratory.
I'm trying to figure out what this socialistic and charismatic beneficiary of Chicago machine politics is really all about. I can't figure out whether he is trying to act like Jesus Christ, Elvis Presley, John Kennedy or Martin Luther King.
Why doesn't he just drop the act, get down to the issues and state his political resume and accomplishments? Could it be that he has none.
Come on Senator, man up. Debate Senator McCain and let the people decide, after the debates which one of you is fit to lead. Debate him if you dare. I don't think you have the guts.
election
Me, a democrat voting for the gop because of such biased and use of BARACK OBAMA shouted every sentence, another fixed election and see the mess we are in now. Arrogance turns me off so I turn you off. Had it with dirty politics....Need an overhaul of the complete system, no surprise we are the laughing stock of the world. Great grandmother in California.
Obama Fatigue versus McCain said or did what?
I believe that the media isn't so much in love with Obama, as they are with what he brings to the American people. Why would anybody want four more years of George Bush, and oil money, and tax cuts to the rich, and our jobs shipped overseas. Not to mention the tax breaks that companies are given for shipping their jobs overseas. Hello, America, is anyone listening?
Did anybody put in their search engines John McCain + bikers? Go ahead, and see what you come up with. I watched the clips yesterday--John McCain standing in front of 50,000 bikers--his comments to them that he would rather stand in front of 50,000 bikers, than the 200,000 people stood in front of. Not that he is jealous--yeah, right--then he asks the people if they are tired of spending $4.00, and then he stutters, and stammers, and forgot what he was talking about. But, the real killer is when he told the crowd that should he become president, then his wife would be first lady, and she could also be queen of the biker's beauty contest. If he so far out of touch, that he doesn't comprehend what a biker's beauty pageant is like? Where they stroll down the runway wearing skimpy bathing suits, or not even any suits after awhile. Is he that willing to get votes, as to put his wife up for "sale"? What happened to his family values--does he have any? Imagine, if that had been Obama saying that in front of the bikers? Oh my gosh, the media wouldn't let go of it--how come, not that much has been said about McCain?
He said that his would be a clean campaign--when does that begin? He has nothing to offer, so all he can do is put down Obama--he has no fresh ideas--even Governor Pawlenty said that today--what does he have to offer America?
Yes, he was a war hero--so were a lot of other people. He has been in the Senate for 26 years now, and all of a "sudden" he thinks that Washington is broken. What exactly are his credentials to run this country? It is pretty evident that he keeps taking pages out of the Bush administration with this negative campaigan, and negative ads. In, all of this, where are his governing tools? He is a jealous little man who is no longer in the limelight, like he used to be. In the end, he will do himself in--I am so looking forward to the debates between him and Obama.
So, America, who would you rather hear about? Obama, or McCain? And, by the way, didn't the American people say that they somehow know McCain, but not that much about Obama? Well, please learn and listen about both of them. You will definitely find out that McCain is stuck in an old avenue, with old thoughts, and old games from the Bush Administration.
So, please, America, let's please go forward--yes we can!!!
The media does not realize that people is electing the most important person in the world, the President of the United States, not the world's biggest cerlebrity like Obama. Obama has no substances or professional accomplishments to show American people, so he uses the media to hype his resume. No wonder American people is already tired of hearing Obama.
