McCain and Obama's Economic Advisers
These people have the ear of the candidates on economic policy

The Economist
AS THE financial crisis pushes the economy back to the top of voters’ concerns, Barack Obama is starting to open up a clear lead over John McCain in the opinion polls. But among those who study economics for a living, Mr Obama’s lead is much more commanding. A survey of academic economists by The Economist finds the majority—at times by overwhelming margins—believe Mr Obama has the superior economic plan, a firmer grasp of economics and will appoint better economic advisers.
Eighty per cent of respondents and no fewer than 71% of those who do not cleave to either main party say Mr Obama has a better grasp of economics. Even among Republicans Mr Obama has the edge: 46% versus 23% say Mr Obama has the better grasp of the subject.

Stupid
All of you are stupid. Read The Economist. 71% of 400 top economists surveyed from both sides of the aisle and independents--concur Obama is much better on the economics issues.
NOBAMA FOR A GOOD ECONOMY !!!
In an ideal world, complete cooperation between different countries creates roads paved with gold, leading to a global utopia. But, historically, and in the real world, human nature and nationalism seem to return individual country's to a goal of self interest and national security. Rogue leaders and unexpected events, such as Putin and Georgia ... Iran, atomic bombs, terrorists and Israel ... Chavez's ambitions ... Al Quada ... Chinese expansion ... etc., always seem to upset the international apple cart of idealists. In addition, we should not take for granted our 200+ year experiment of freedom and capitalism, and be so willing to gamble it away for a socialistic notion which stifles the individual innovation and initiative which made this country great ... and a standard of living which makes everyone around the world want to live here! And, since many have decided to also make this a partisan political discourse, by assuring us that Obama, the messiah, has all the answers, allow me to respond to that as well. Obama has no experience, or credentials. When given the chance in the senate, Obama did nothing except to show up and vote present 160 times. Despite his flowery speeches, his track record reveals a focus on personal ambition, associations with anti-American racists and terrorists, massive flip flopping, questionable loyalty to political positions and long time friends, a desire for socialism, and forced redistribution of America's wealth. He casually promises everyone a chicken in every pot, even if it is the chicken that lays America's golden eggs. Economics 101 ... Every farmer knows that even if you get real hungry, you never eat the seed crop. One of the reasons McCain keeps going back to the issue of character is because although Obama makes great speeches, if his character and integrity are questionable, it doesn't matter how good his plans sound. Policies and promises from an ambitious politician who can't be trusted, are equivalent to building a utopian sky scrapper on a rotten foundation.
P.S. Today Obama talked about more jobs, something McCain has been insisting on since day one ... except Obama wants to raise taxes to the very people who provide jobs, while McCain wants to cut taxes to businesses as a way to promote jobs
mass emails
I've received a mass emailing on Fannie Mae executive officers, their mismanagement, and their golden parachutes. (Frank Raines, Tim Johnson, Jim Johnson) It's also claiming they are economic advisors to Barack Obama. I don't see their names listed as his advisors anywhere. Don't you think these exaggerated lies should be exposed along with the originators for libelous behavior? Would this be worth investigating?
"The regulators got out of hand in 2000's when Bush and friends took over the government."
Yes they did "get out of hand" but in a good way. In 2004 "the regulators" brought up serious concerns about Fanny and Freddy. Bush and the republicans took this seriously and tried to do something about it.
However the Democrats, seeing these regulators "get out of hand" put them back in there place. In fact, one democrat suggested that the regulator should be investigated and not Fanny and Freddy.
Go on you tube and you can see the videos of the Democrats interfering with the regulation of Freddy and Fannie, and taking bribes, oops contributions from them.
Second on the list of taking the most bribes, err, contributions. Yep, Obama.

frank raines
Frank Raines has NEVER been an Obama economic or any other kind of advisor to Obama. Check your facts.
Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac
McSame doesn't know anything about economics. Fannnie & Freddie were advocates of the Democratic party because they favored the economic policies that fostered growth in the 90's. The regulators got out of hand in 2000's when Bush and friends took over the government.
By the way, Carly Fiorina was ousted by the Board of Directors at Hewlett-Packard because she drove the stock into a ditch. She has no real economic experience just like McSame and Pailin.
Hmmm...
Phil from NY is upset that taxpayer dollars may go to carting Palin's kids and grandkids around. I want to know if he was terribly upset about Chelsea globe-trotting with her mom to Asia, Africa, and Latin America while her dad was in the White House giving oral exams to interns.
And why are the Palin's children automatically brats, I wonder? Because their mother is a conservative? How enlightened of you Phil.
Yeah, Palin's daughter can't keep her legs closed, but Clinton couldn't keep his fly closed. Where is you moral outrage there?
You speak of hypocrisy like it doesn't apply to you or Democrats in general. THAT is why Republicans may win in November. Libs keep condescending and patronizing the American people.
I notice that the name of ex-CEO of Fannie May...
is conspicuously absent from the list of Obama economic policy advisors. It was Frank Raines' job to direct the company, and guess what? He had them cook the books, a la Enron, to get higher earnings on the balance sheets so that he and the other executives could get their multi-million dollar bonuses. This is the guy running Senator Obama's economic policy team. His business practices caused the eventual collapse of Fannie May, and now we, the American taxpayers, are responsible for bailing it out. Raines got his money, though. 100 million dollars of it.
