"revitalized" AM radio.......thanks for that. Limbaugh is nothing more than a brutish liar, like almost everyone else on far right radio. He - like FOX News - a well-paid lap dog, an administration shill: The original "dittohead". Tons of cash - zero integrity.

Give America Back

I agree with Nader, the average American needs to feel their worth in this country again. Who owns the air waves? If it's us, LET HIM PAY! If it's getting Nader attention, GO NADER!

Gary of NJ

Gary, you are the one who is incorrect on the subject of fees and bidding for licenses. Fees must be paid to the FCC for application and as regulatory fees. Licenses must be renewed (and fees paid) to continue broadcasting. I suggest that you do some research before calling someone else ignorant.

Nader and Limbaugh

Uh, let's see... media corporations (and individuals) bid (and pay) for licenses to operate broadcast stations. They then broadcast shows on these stations which, in turn, generate revenue for the companies and individuals. In that sense, Limbaugh does pay "rent" for the airwaves he uses In the days of BL (Before Limbaugh), AM radio was dying. The Rush Limbaugh show revitalized AM radio and talk radio in particular. His success spawned dozens of radio talk shows, all of which air guests and callers who offer their opinions. What irks people like Nader, I suspect, is that he doesn't like the political ideology of most of these talk shows. I am sure he and others of his mindset are especially irked by the failure of liberal (I'm sorry, "progressive") talk radio and so they preach censorship in various forms.

Nader

I do not he knows what he is talking about.Yes Obama voted to give our service men money. He wasn't for the war in IraQ, BUT SINCE IT IS THERE HE WANTS OUR SERVICE MEN TO HAVE WHAT THEY NEED. There are two sides to everything. He is also for change , that is crossing the line with both Dem. and Rep. , have the congress and senate to work together. We need this change in this country. Nader go home. What goes around comes around.

Seriously funny truth

blackagendareport.com has been complaining about this for a long time, that no politician will mention the billions in givaways to big news companies that give the public no voice, but if the moderators have removed comments seemingly just because they mentioned Nader. They're starting to realize Obama tells lies, but it's ironic to censor out talk of Nader. He's the only main candidate that's mentioned the public airwave givaway, or the racial bias of poverty, legal rights, pollution and all the things they complain about in America with any realism, but you cannot even talk about Nader there. We're all split apart. At the same time, I hate Obama's calls for blind unity.

Obama is just another politician in the pockets of and pandering to big money, with regular Americans paying the price. He gives up a few thousand dollars in public funding, against his written word, so he can scrw us for billions. He knows better so sometimes he will mention something to throw us a bone, but his public actions that affect all of us mean much more to me. The MSM sucks sometimes. Obama voted for Iraq funds more times than against it, seemingly along the lines of Rezco's ventures, I thought.

I'm not saying Obama would not be a good person if he got out of politics. He's an excellent influencer, speaker, and has potential for good. He may destroy the world as president right now though, with our consent. Can we at least try to stop it? No McCain. No Obama. VoteNader. I like his idea of "none of the above, redo", if the options suck.

Nader is correct

here is the audio on Youtube from RN about Rush:

Nadar can be right sometimes

Once it was assumed that the radio/television broadcast spectrum belonged to the people and some simple rules were imposed on broadcasters, who were only borrowing our airspace. That quaint notion seems to have been swept away by corporate ownership of everything that isn't nailed down, and sometimes when it is. When will Congress return to its mandate to protect and defend the rights of the general public?

Some candidates can get a headline with a sneeze

Nader must, can and will need to be more creative. Since he believes he is a serious candidate, he has no choice.

Nader's goals are to get on as many ballots as he can, overcoming a phallanx of Democratic Party attorneys in every state.

And, what is his constituency? The majority of the country who want us out of Iraq, who believe health care is a birthright, and who are deeply suspicious of corporations and their shenanigans on K Street.Of course, who wouldn't go after disaffected Democrats - and disaffected Republican voters. Have you seen the polls for the Congress and Bush lately?

Chuck Schmuck

Mr. Chuck of IA betrays his total ignorance on the subject.

There is no payment for a broadcast license, and the stations do not "bid" on the frequencies. Chuck is confused by recent cell-phone spectrum auctions, which have nothing whatsoever to do with broadcasting.

When you bet that Ralph Nader ever opens his mouth without doing his homework, that's known as a sucker bet. You just end up looking like a fool.
