Ralph Nader Seeks Votes by Picking a Fight with Rush Limbaugh
Nader faults the conservative talker for enriching himself using the public airwaves
Third-party presidential candidate Ralph Nader, who has been buoyed by his 6 percent showing in CNN's July 1 national presidential poll and is making a play for what his campaign calls "disillusioned Obama supporters," is taking on conservative talker Limbaugh for using public airwaves to enrich himself to the tune of $38 million. That's the value of the radio host's new 8-year contract with Premier Radio Networks.
"You are making this money on the public property of the American people for which you pay no rent," Nader wrote in a letter to the host. "You, Rush Limbaugh, are on welfare."
Nader's campaign says that the candidate wants Limbaugh to "pay rent" for using the airwaves.
It is part of the campaign's effort to gain attention by highlighting issues Nader says the major-party candidates have taken "off the table." Those issues include single-payer health insurance and a move to "impeach Bush-Cheney."

"revitalized" AM radio.......thanks for that. Limbaugh is nothing more than a brutish liar, like almost everyone else on far right radio. He - like FOX News - a well-paid lap dog, an administration shill: The original "dittohead". Tons of cash - zero integrity.
Give America Back
I agree with Nader, the average American needs to feel their worth in this country again. Who owns the air waves? If it's us, LET HIM PAY! If it's getting Nader attention, GO NADER!

Gary, you are the one who is incorrect on the subject of fees and bidding for licenses. Fees must be paid to the FCC for application and as regulatory fees. Licenses must be renewed (and fees paid) to continue broadcasting. I suggest that you do some research before calling someone else ignorant.
