All politics aside, I think this article is terrible. When people go to a reputable website searching for information to help them make an educated decision on which way to vote, you have to wade through a bunch of crap like this. Give me facts, not petty opinions that sound like a high-school journaling assignment. All candidates spend a lot of money for their campaigns and guess what? Only one from each party can make it to the General Election. Hilary is not the first, nor last to spend money on a 'losing campaign', so please; Do some real research and report something worth-while.

She was trying to get voters by exploiting emotions,not dealing with the issues. poeple care about who has a better solutions for problems and issues and that s all that matters, in the end.

Just shows her that her money can't buy everything. I thinl she is a spoiled elitist that still can't understand how, even putting her own money into the campain didn't work this time. I feel sorry for the contributers to her failed run. VEVA CHANGE!!!!

Hillary Lost

Hillary lost because she didn't run a smart campaign. You would think that after all her "experience" campaigning, she would have been better prepared strategically, financially, and politically.

As a woman and former Bill Clinton supporter, I don't buy her victim of the media and sexism claim. I think she played those cards to her advantage when she needed them (i.e., crying in NH on the eve of the primary which resulted in more women voting for her; or using the media when it benefited her during the ABC Debate). She was ill prepared. Who knew that she and her supporters would be so emotionally fragile and traumatized by losing the Democratic primary elections.

Community Service/Dual-Purpose Campaigning

Celeste, I'm sort of with you here.

During this primary campaign, I thought the get-out-the-vote money could have been better spent too. With my ideas, the money could have benefitted the voters as well as the candidates -- and I believe my ideas are campaign legal.

1) I'm in Philadelphia and our regional mass transit system sells bus shelters. The campaigners could have spent less on television ads that only got on tv viewers nerves, and bought bus shelters. Their ads would be ever present and viewable to not only commuters, but to all passers-by including automobile traffic -- just like a billboard! And mass transit commuters wouldn't have to stand in the rain or scorching sun.

2) Rent a bus route: Ride a commuter bus and meet the people while granting riders as they board a free bus trip. This also says "Go Green" -- "Commute, don't pollute," "conserve energy" and all that

3) Instead of flooding everyone with "mailers" hundreds of times over, and disturbing people with the automated phone calls, why not mail each home their autobiography? This way, everyone can learn who they are, how they came to be, and what they represent. And we can read them on our own time without our home activities being disrupted.

4) Treat the homeless to a bath, clean clothes, a good meal, and temporary shelter. In exchange, give them a "special" campaign t-shirt to wear to a campaign event.

I mean, seriously, why do the millionaire television/radio/news outlets get to benefit from political campaigns all the time? My community service ideas would also generate lots of additional "free" publicity.

Obama

If Obama is elected we would miss good old days of Jimmy "the Jackass" Carter

Write In Candidates

If voters were smart they would write in the candidate of their choice and avoid the ones they do not want. I will not vote for Obama, he and his wife are not for this country if so they would not have made the negative remarks they did.

Mc Cain is too old and should not run, however no one would run against him and he was accepted by the Republican Party. He and Obama are much like a former presendtial candidate Ross Perot "Egotistical and Self Centered and care nothing about this country"

Women of this country sold out by not taking the opportunity to support a woman for president simply to prove women can do just as good a job as a man. Obama won by race not by merit and succumb to self degredation when he settled for less asking to be elected for his color and not his experience.

This country is headed for serious trouble far more than it is currently in and Obama or McCain will both add to the problems not fix them. As for us we will not vote for him now or in the future because we feel he is not a true American.

Stop being Emotional

How can you be a democrat and not vote for Obama. What is wrong with you people. You rather have four more years and possibly eight of bush instead of voting for Obama? Are you serious? Stop being so emotional and think rationally, please. How much worst can Obama do, really. McCain is telling you he will continue to run in Bush's manners but you would rather jeopardize the future of your children because Obama beat Hillary.
