After Her Loss to Obama, Clinton Has Many Options
She didn't break the ultimate glass ceiling, but her run for president wrote a new chapter in American politics

Hillary Clinton is still most qualified
While there was and is sexism in the mainstream media, it pales in comparison to the blatant disrespect one reads in these blogs. Why anyone would spew out such hateful slime, I can only imagine. It reminds me of toddlers throwing tantrums. The media (and these hate-mongers) called Hillary Clinton names, ridiculed her, demanded she quit, projected onto her their most vile fears, blamed her for her husband's infidelities (that one really got me), and questioned her legitimacy as a viable candidate. Yet Hillary Clinton persisted - ran until the end. And in the end, despite all the opposition, still was within 2% of Barack Obama in delegate count! I think that is why the hate was so intense - its like she said, because she was was winning! Its ironic that many male commentators (and there are lots more of them than female commentators) just don't see the sexism. Let me state it clearly, "Sexism is a system that privileges men at the expense of women". It is not perceived injustice. Can anyone deny that Barack Obama won at the expense of Hillary Clinton? Was he afforded privileges she was not?
This Election Would Not Be About "For" but Against A Candidate
Since becoming a naturalized US citizen, I have voted in every election. Because of my participation, my American born husband has also become engaged in the political process. We are both furious at the treatment that Hillary Clinton received at the hands of the media, and worse, from party insiders and the likes of Pelosi and Dean. We are disgusted. We are equally angry at the patronizing way we have been told that we will be over this anger come November. Actually, we feel betrayed by a party we had once believe in so, no ... we won't get over it because betrayal of democratic principles is not something you get over. Come November, we will write in "Hillary Clinton".
Hillary
If Obama wants to fill his promise of change he must insure that Hillbillary goes back to New York.. Even this will not insure that Bill won't try to get revenge.
Hillary
Thank heavens the Clintons won't be in the White House again - at least not yet. Bill disgraced the office & Hillary is a calculating & manipulative liar. Doesn't anyone remember Whitewater? I don't believe for one minute Foster committed suicide. Obama better watch his back.
Hillary
The Dems put up the wrong candidate against McCain. Another Republican term is on its way.
Hillary
Hillary was simply out manouvered by a younger ,smarter black man. He knew what he wanted and knew how to get it. She thought she had it in tha bag, until it was too late. I think he game plan now is is to pretend support an dhope he stumbles before the convention. It is not going to happen and I don`t think she will be on the ticket come Nov. He knows if he has her as his vice-president he will have Bill clinton looking over his shoulder and second guessing every decision. He doesn`t need that he has his own vision for this country. He will bring about the needed changes and rapidly implement them before the conservatives can recover from their beating he is going to give them at the polls in Nov. He will pull this nation togeather and correct the injustices of the past. A new day is here.
Hillary
Chris Matthews and his group of talking heads were absolutely against her from day one. They annointed him after his first big speech and demeaned Senator clinton. I was seething. I used to enjoy watching them, but, after this I have gone to Fox. Her speech conceding was "presidential" and I felt sad for the country as she would have led us to peace and prosperity from a position of experience and knowledge. Ah, what might have been.
Two questions were asked in the beginning of this campaign: Can a woman become president and can a black man become president? The first question was answered definitively by the voters but turned down by the Democratic party, much like 8 years ago when the voters voted Democrat and their vote was turned down by the Supreme Court.
The second question is also likely to be answered no in the end. Hillary Clinton said in her concession speech that the Democrats won the White House only three times in the last 40 years. Why is that? Because the Republicans know how to win and the Democrats don't. In fact, the Democrats are experts at turning a lead into a loss.
Get ready for a third and fourth Bush terms.
Hillary Clinton Campaign
While the "buck" stops at Clinton's desk for all campaign activities, Mark Penn should never work again in politics. His strategic thinking was ordinary, at best, arrogant and mean spirited, likely, and highway robbery at worst. In a recent New York Times piece, at bottom he blamed lack of money for the campaign failures. LACK OF MONEY---as if some $245 million isn't enough to build a state based, national organization! His thoughts made me wonder at whom he was pointing the finger---the Clintons? Contributors who weren't generous enough? I realized that he was just pointing the finger so it wouldn't light on himself. Oh yes, I did finish his piece: Mr Penn faced the once-in-a-lifetime campaign of the junior Senator from Illinois (the second coming of Abe Lincoln).
Mark Twain is reputed to have said that first God created narcissists. And that was just practice for creating politcal consultants.
Hillary Clinton/Obama Ticket
Hillary should now translate all her florid fantasy into reasonable terms to observing and entering a veritable world of realities and personalities. She should allow all irreducibles to completely understandable or controllable terms with Obama who should realise that this is once in a life time opportunity for him to get into the White House rather than in the end without a strong and influential running mate Obama will end up bringing haddock to paddock. What a shame when this happens. Good luck Hillary ticket. God Bless America
