Democratic Party Needs to Heal and Unite to Beat McCain
With Clinton still in the race, party leaders are searching for something to unify the party behind Obama

Hillary
I am just another Dem. going Republican. What you fail to understand when you say I am just a poor looser is the obvious corruption in the Democrat party and that is why I will vote for McCain. Do they really think woman are that stupid or just blind. Any party that thinks that poorly of me cannot be the better candidate to represent me. Make no mistake that I am just one mere little woman who feels this way. Men are also saying this. not one person yet has said they will vote for Obama. They choose to make a stand and vote for Mccain or will stay home. I pray Pennsylvania will make a stand not to tolerate corruption and send a clear message to the Democratic party come November.
BILLARY Clinton as VP?
No matter what Obama does, he should know this:
Having BILLARY Clinton as vice president would be the equivalent of having a spitting Cobra as a room mate. You CANNOT control its NATURAL HABIT of spitting and biting. Either way, you get POISON in your blood circulatory system!
Hillary Clinton
How was this nomination stolen from Senator Clinton? This stinks. Why give several delegates to Obama, from Mich. and Fla? This stinks. You have lost at least five membgers of my family to the Republican nominee. What's four more years. Hillary ismore important in the Senate.

Women suppressed again
My maternal grandmother died before women had the right to vote. My mother was told by her high school principal that women belong in the home, not the workplace. After college graduation the only job I could find was as a secretary.
Finally there was hope ... a women for president of the United States ... a day my grandmother was never even able to dream of. And, once again, we are suppressed and denied.
If a woman with the credentials of Hillary Clinton can't break through the barrier, who can? I have lost my hope.
STUNNING!
Hillary Clinton is STUNNING!!!
You have just witnessed the greatest political campaign fight in American history. One for the textbooks, and the history books. Hillary Clinton fought her heart out against all odds to win for all of the American people . While at the same time doing her best to prepare Sen. Barack Obama to win in November if he was the nominee. STUNNING!!! WELL DONE HILLARY CLINTON. WELL DONE! Your AMAZING! :-)
Sen. Obama could not have had a better opponent than Hillary Clinton. Nor could he have had a better opponent to prepare him for the battle royal to come against John McCain and the Republicans ahead of the November elections. Hillary Clinton was like a big Mama cat determined to teach her kitten how to hunt, and hang with the big dogs for the fights ahead.
And how about Bill Clinton, Chelsea, and th whole Clinton team. They were magnificent. They really showed their metal. BRAVO! TEAM CLINTON... BRAVO!
And how about YOU! my fellow Americans. I'm so proud of you. And proud to be one of you. You showed what you are made of. And what makes America so great. You never gave up on your Champion Hillary Clinton. Time, and time again you eagerly waited your turn to vote for Hillary Clinton. To pick her up and pass her along down the line to the rest of your fellow Americans.
You never gave up on her. Just as Hillary Clinton never gave up on you. No matter how many times they counted her out. No matter how many times they brutally knocked her down. You knew she would get back up. And you were ready to support her when she did. AMERICA LOVES A FIGHTER. AMERICA UNDERSTANDS A FIGHTER. AMERICA IS A FIGHTER. I'M PROUD OF YOU AMERICA!
Hillary said she would accept the VP spot on the ticket if ask. And I am thrilled to hear that. I think it would be crazy not to take her up on that offer. You could not have a better VP than Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is Sen. Obama's best chance of winning the Whitehouse in November. And it is essential that the democrats take back the Whitehouse.
The American people are in a very desperate condition now. George Bush has wrecked America, and much of the world.
YOU MADE US VERY PROUD HILLARY CLINTON! :-)
WE LOVE YOU...
jacksmith... Working Class :-)
p.s. I really liked Sen. Barack Obama's speech in Minnesota. I think he just maybe ready now for the Bush Republican attack machine, dirty tricks, and vote fraud machine. :-)
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Our party has just shown us how far behind we are from the word "Democracy"! Male chauvinism within you and the media has just given the candidacy to a man we don't even know! I am outraged, my friends (men and women) are outraged, my family in Florida are outraged and millions of democrats are also outraged. Our Candidates friends and idols: Rezko, Wright, Pfleger, his revolutionary uncle in Kenya, it's a long list of antiamericans and racists! This is the delegate you and the Super(???) Delegates have chosen! Shame on you! My family and friends in Florida, Pennsylvania, California and New York will NOT vote for Obama!
Nancy, your facts are incorrect
First of all, Hillary is NOT winning the popular vote unless you use some extremely dubious math - you have to do all of: 1) count the delegates who voted for her in FL and MI, 2) don't count any of the 'uncommitted' votes for her in those same states, and 3) don't count any of the caucus votes for her. Hardly sounds like "winning" to me.
Secondly, Obama did not win because he was the "media choice". ABC News did not visit Howard Dean and tell him that Obama was to be the party's candidate, and thus the party made it so. He won because he had more pledged delegates - delegates chosen by American voters. It's as simple as that. If you don't like the way the Democratic nominating process works, then write to your representative about it and tell them that you would like a direct popular primary vote in the future.
Finally, you bring up the Gore/Bush vote counting debate, but in the same breath talk about voting for Clinton as a write-in candidate. Please recall how votes for Ralph Nader in Florida effected the outcome of that election. If you would care for four more years of Dubya than by all means don't vote or vote for Hillary as a write-in, because it's exactly that kind of "protest vote" that will ensure McCain of victory.
Your preferred candidate didn't make it to the general election. Fine. But you need to ask yourself, now that we're here, who will be the best president between Obama and McCain for the next four years?
Remember that not voting is really a vote in itself - you are voting for whoever ended up winning. So if you really, truly believe that McCain and Obama would do an equal job of running the country, then don't vote. But I would encourage you to look at the platforms of both candidates and compare them to those of Senator Clinton. If you care about the issues that she cares about, then you should vote for the candidate whose views most closely resemble hers. I can guarantee you that Senator Clinton will be doing just that on election day.
Hypocrites
We will not unit behind Obama. He is the media choice and that is why he has won. If there is a movement regarding writing in Hillary or not voting I will be one of the 18 million strong. Four years ago the citizens of the democratic party were up in arms and said George Bush should not have won because Al Gore had the popular vote. Now 4 years later and Obama, Hillary has the popular vote and all of those people who were up in arms about the popular vote 4 years ago have changed their tune because their candidate does not have the popular vote. The supporters say don't choose Hillary as VP we don't want her, but yet they want us to support their candidate, well guess what we don't want him.
Superdelegates bad for the party
I agree with Charles Pine of Maine that the Democratic party should eliminate all super delegates. Between super delegates and the caucus system in some states there is no longer any certainty that the candidate winning the popular vote will win the election.
It's enough that we have the electoral college; caucuses and super delegates are still another filtering layer to dilute the vote of the people.
The Democratic party certainly does need to heal, but it first needs a major operation.
