most of thge comments you post are un-American. I'm sure the comments you post in volume are the position of radical left, the same position of US NEWS and World Report. It's no secret that the media hates John and Joe and will do or say (print) anything negitive. The little colored boy has you all fooled. He is a communist pure and simple. He hates white people and he especially hates Jewish people. My suggestion is that loyal Americans, Jews and others who love this country get armed, and get ready to fight. Thank G_D we still have the right to bear arms
Lieberman for Vice Pres
I couldn't stand this man when he was running with Al Gore, but now after seeing him standing his ground and standing up for his beliefs. He's got gut's and has made me a believer.
The last letter called Lieberman a pathetic hypocrite---as far as I'm those words belong to the writer of that letter.
LEIBERMAN AND McCAIN ticket for 2008.
McCain
McCain said 2 years ago that we should diplomatically deal with Hamas.
Lieberman has been shameless in his comments about Obama and how anyone gives this man any deference at this point is beyond my comprehension.
Bush foreign policy has been an utter failure. Israel is less safe than it has ever been, the United States is less safe than it was, Iran is stronger than it ever has been, Bin Laden's organization is stronger than ever, I could go on and on.
Lieberman needs to keep quite. You want to know who said this....
"there has to be “an end” to the Israeli “occupation” of the West Bank “that began in 1967.”
"not only must Israel be secure, but that any peace agreement “must establish Palestine as a homeland for the Palestinian people.”
“the establishment of the state of Palestine is long overdue. The Palestinian people deserve it.”
George W. Bush.
Lieberman is a pathetic hypocrite and how he was elected as Senator last time must have been a fluke, because he will not last next election cycle.
The only good thing about the 2000 election . . .
. . . is that this man did NOT become Vice President of the United States.
McCain - Fit to Serve?
The following quotes of John McCain's concern me. Maybe even more than McCain's 5X mistake about 'Shiite Al Qaeda' within one month, even though repeatedly corrected.
“And I believe that the success will be fairly easy” and “There's no doubt in my mind that... we will be welcomed as liberators.” [3/24/03]
“There's not a history of clashes that are violent between Sunnis and Shias. So I think they can probably get along.” [4/23/03]
“Overall, I think a year from now, we will have made a fair amount of progress if we stay the course.” [12/8/05 (Exactly one year before violence in Iraq peaked)]
It seems the man has a disconnect between what he wants to believe and the facts on the ground.
While I respect Mr. McCain's service and what he went through as a POW, I also have many concerns about his actions upon his return. He, with the advantage of having an admiral for a father, was not prosecuted as other returning POW for collaborating with the enemy. Later, Mr. McCain headed the effort the shut down all investigation into remaining POW/MIA in order to open up trade with Vietnam. His father-in-law immediately opened up a multi-billion dollar beer industry there.

I also have concerns about his mental fitness as well, specially since he will not release his old medical records even though the term PSTD was not in use as an official diagnosis when he first returned. The one time he did release these records to a journalist, much was blacked out. He later released them in 1999 to a physician who wrote him a clean bill of health without the benefit of a personal examination but rather on whatever records he was provided.
“Among U.S. servicemen taken captive during the Korean War, as many as nine out of 10 survivors may suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental disorders more than 35 years after their release, psychologist Patricia B. Sutker of the New Orleans Veterans Administration Medical Center and her colleagues report in the January AMERICAN JOURNAL OF PSYCHIATRY.”
'Post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, can result from wartime trauma such as suffering wounds or witnessing others being hurt. Symptoms include irritability or outbursts of anger, sleep difficulties, trouble concentrating, extreme vigilance and an exaggerated startle response.'

I do not say any of this lightly as I have worked with vets for over thirty years to help them get their benefits for PTSD. My father served in the Army for 33 yrs as as CWO4. All three of my brothers also served, two in Vietnam.
But I have even more concerns about his current voting record towards our young veterans of today. His lack of support for their medical care is appalling.

On a final note, it is worth reading what Col. Hackworth, the most respected officer to ever serve in Vietnam had to say about John McCain:
http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com/cin_hacker_2.htm
"David H. Hackworth died in June 2005, he was a much-decorated and highly unconventional former career Army officer who became a combat legend in Vietnam. Col. Hackworth received 78 combat awards — including a Distinguished Service Cross, a Silver Star, a Bronze Star and eight Purple Hearts — during his 25-year military career which spanned the Korean and Vietnam wars.."
Middle East
It should be obvious (in my opinion) that the constant violence in this region particularly Israel is due to people not getting treated fairly. People by nature fight for the well-being of their children and the assurance of their future. And the reasons of the violence go deeper than the relationship that the US has with the entire World. The leaders are not the People. The leaders need to care about the people regardless if they are jewish, muslim, arab, palestinian, isreli, american.....they are the bigger picture and Obama understands this. And it could be that the leaders of the World feel they can relate to Obama but that doesn't mean Obama is weak, it means he is smart and bold and is willing to actually try and use another tactic other than the gun. History tells us we can only get so far with that. So what if he is being naive or too hopeful.... give him and people with the same views a chance to try and MAKE history. What's wrong? Scared these peaceful tactics might work? Scared to have to give the credit where its due?
Hitler
Doesn’t comparing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Hitler just raise Ahmadinejads stature as a world leader, albeit an evil one?
Lieberman is an evil destroyer
How could Al Gore have picked this right wing apologist of George Bush and his doctrine of endless and preemptive wars.
Lieberman forgets the terrible actions of the United States in Vietnam, Lebanon, Somalia, Panama, Iraq and Iraq. What does he really believe?
Does he want Israel destroyed by foisting endless wars and uniting the entire worlds against the United States? Perhaps Lieberman has as little understanding of people outside the United States as George Bush and John McCain. His candidate sings a song "bomb bomb bomb Iran".
Lieberman does do one thing for me. When I hear his name I forget Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Pfeif/McCain and the rest of the neocons, Texas Wackos and republicans that pillaged our country and turned the world against us for the last 8 years. I think about the failure of Connecticut to throw out its own rascal. Find out what Lieberman thinks, who he endorses, and where he is going then run the other way.
my god...
McCain, Lieberman, Bush 08! slogan: Democrats are peace loving nazis.
