Campaign 2008

Clinton's Women Supporters Angry and Sad as Campaign Comes Closer to an End

Supporters think Clinton should stay in the race until June 3, or beyond

Posted May 15, 2008

They are contemplating Clinton's end game, especially now that former presidential candidate John Edwards, the second-place finisher in Iowa's caucuses, has endorsed Obama. "She needs to go through this in a magnanimous, gracious way," says Kolmer, who when asked if she'll vote for Obama replied: "Hell, yes."

A vice presidential slot for Clinton? Maybe, says Donna Buell, 47, a lawyer in Spirit Lake. "I would like to see Hillary become either Senate Majority leader or vice president, nothing less," Buell says.

Clinton may not be the nominee in the end, says Kolmer, but "a helluva lot of people wanted her to be." And by remaining in the game, several women say, she has only made Obama a stronger candidate.

Says Stough: "I hope she gives her concession speech at the convention. She deserves it."

Blame Bill

You angry Hillary voters seem to be blaming the wrong person(s) for Hillary's defect. First, I can understand hurt and disapointment, but ANGER?!!! What's that about? Seriously? Hillary is one tough lady. She knew as well as anybody what to expect, after all, she been though it all before with Bill. Bill is the one who disrespected his wife, in front of the world. Don't blame anybody for a lost election, it happens.

And for cybergranny, you talk rediculous! What about the statement of Bobby Kennedy? You forget? Also, you are right, there will be fallout from this. Remember, if you angry voters don't support Obama, Hillary will have to face the same music when she runs for anything. Do what's right if you ever want the full support of the party for Hillard. Don'r mess up her chances

Write-in

Can we write-in Clinton for the General Election instead of giving up

Not just women

Sorry, but there are more people other than women whom are angry. They include blue collar, gun and religious clinging, "bitter" now, but not before, asian, latino, and 18 million voters from many other socioeconomic status.
