read the history of the catholic church and the man made bible then say the same thing and see how rediculous you sound
VP
The only way I will feel good about voting for McCain is if the picks Huckabee as VP. I am most concerned about this election. McCain has Democratic views but is running as a Republican. Obama has no problem going to church for 20 years listening to racially charged sermons and only has a problem with in conflicts with him getting his Presidential seat. Racism has no place in society but mostly importantly has no place in the person who will lead our country. Hilary has too short of a fuse, lies all the time, and I believe she is capable of launching nuclear weapons against are enemies (as she had indicated). Nuclear weapons should be a last resort only since they not only kill everyone for 75 miles in every direction they effect the entire world negatively. Huckabee is the only light I see in this nightmare. I will vote for McCain no matter what because he is the best by far of the three running.
As for all the comments about Huckabee in relation to Mitt Romney. I think the people here should learn a little about Mormonism. Also you should learn it in relation to Christianity. Christian's do not only believe and follow the teachings of Jesus they believe that the Christian Bible is correct. Mormons follow the teaching of Joseph Smith. He wrote the Mormon bible, started 3 wars over his new faith, and thought a city in Missouri was the Garden of Eden and started a war to try and occupy it. So if you are wondering why Christian's do not agree with Mormonism then do this. Find a Christian bible, open it to the last book, last chapter, last paragraph and read it. That paragraph should tell you in itself if Mormonism is correct or not.
McCain's VP should be Mitt Romney
Hands down - Mitt Romney! He ran a clean campaign for the Presidency, and has an impecable record. Just see all the positive comments about him in the previous VP 'suggestions'.)
[Huckabee would be my LAST choice. For a Christian, his tactics when running for the top office, were selfish, at best. And his off-hand comment about the Morman religion: "...as far as I know" was unforgivable. It showed his true colors. Therefore, I would NEVER vote for him!.]
Wild cards
what if Ross perot would have asked Charlton Heston or Clint Eastwood to run with him? Where would we be today?
McCain, well the winner for him and the republican party is easily C. Rice but she is to smart to accept.
What about asking Bill to switch parties after his wife looses the nomination. No, no point then I guess, he will win no matter what against Obamma.
How about someone wise, intelligent, thoughtful, honest, scandal free, transparent financially,.....what candidate in their right mind would want to put themselves in harms way by having such a VP. Hmmm..what a connundrum...I go with the movie star card again. I know its tough t find one that is a republican, but anyone popular is OK if you want the popular vote. A woman would be best, ah but that might place him in harms way again. OK how about O.J Simpson , he was a movie star, a Sports hero, he has a few skeletons in his closet but they have already been aired out I think and the public would see alot of integrity in that kind of Christian forgive and forget kind of move. and after all does it really matter anyway?
VP
Mitt Romney and you have my vote. Huckabee and i will not Vote. I can provide 500,000 signatures to the same effect. Please remember that Rudy was the leading candidate and didn't even compete. Huckabee stayed to hurt Romney.
McCain/Romney
Huckabee is a wantabee. I haven't heard anything nice come out of his month for McCain or Romney or any of the candidates so far. All he wants is to be in the White House for the glory! Sorry, I call it as I see it. He made a stupid mistake trying too hard to stay in the race for nomination when he knew it was over. That made him look stupid and not very smart. He didn't have any good comments about what to do for our country during the debates. We need someone in second command that knows something about ecomonics, war, countries, cares about our own country to help us with jobs. It takes alot to keep all of these things in balance when running a country. I just don't think Huckaberrie has it. No, I didn't mistake spelling his name wrong either. McCain needs a right hand man who will not tell him what to do, but offer advice and then step back and let McCain make the decision. I can't see Huckabee doing that. He wanted to be "president" too bad to be in second place. Don't know any of the other people well enough to make a comment, but Colin Powell. Don't think he would accept it since he wouldn't accept it from Bush. Mitt is the likely one. McCain would be stupid not to choose him. But, don't know McCain well enough either, but he does love our country, and I think that will help him win the presidency.
MITT ROMNEY IS VP CHOICE
There is no other logical choice but MITT ROMNEY for VP.
The others have no NAME RECOGNITION except for Powell and Rice. Huckabee? He is a religious zealot. He is too religious to be president or vice president. We want someone in the middle. Huckabee hates catholics and mormons and others who are not in the same church as he is. (The ticket will lose votes from these two groups alone). (Wright's church may be OK to hate)
Rice is not interested. It looks that way. Powell, same as Rice. MITT ROMNEY is interested in the job. Let's face it. If you want the job, apply for it. There is nothing wrong with that.
MITT ROMNEY IS a self-made millionaire. He did not inherit or gotten his wealth thru fraud or scams or from his parents. He worked hard for every penny he got. When he was governor he did not even take a salary. Not a single cent for all the 4 years he served. He fixed and turned around the Utah Olympics, which was laden with scandals and corruption and ended up with a surplus in the millions to be used for the next olympics. All these successful management for a token $1.00. When asked why he did not take a salary as governor or as director of the Olympics. He answered, "I have enough".
MITT Romney is the best candidate to turn around our country, this is the CHANGE people want. A change for the better.
MITT ROMNEY COULD BE SEEN AS AN OUTSIDER WITH AN ECONOMIC ACUITY OR EXPERTISE. MCCAIN IS AN INSIDER WITH A MILITARY FOREIGN AFFAIRS EXPERIENCE AND DEEP LOVE FOR AMERICA. The two of them in the same ticket is PERFECT. Both are good looking and presidential. This is the GOP's dream ticket: MCCain-Romney.
(MCCAIN, rhymes with pain, reminds me of his pain while he is POW. He will surely protect us. Romney rhymes with money, he'll take care of our economy and my money). What else should any american ask for?. Protect us from Hillary and Bill's plots and schemes for socialism and Obama's raising taxes and democrats waving the white flag in the middle east.
McCain-Romney 2008
On Saturday morning, May 10 Gov Mitt and some of advisers met with Senator McCain at the Hilton-Americas in Houston. Could the discussion have included the VP position? According to the Chronicle, no one is saying. In my opinion, Gov Mitt is the very best!
Mitt Romney for Vice President
Mitt Romney turned the Olympics around...made it very successful. He has fantastic leadership strengths. People want to work for him, to do their best. He would represent America in an outstanding way with his knowledge and education.
I am sure all of us have had an opinion and after consideration has changed their mind on a few things. I can not see that is a good enough reason to pass him up for representing America as Vice President. I just hate to see him receive all the bashing that seems to be in the politics of today. He is too nice of a man to have to put up with all of that. And in today’s politics...it seems one has to have money in order to make it. Look at all the ones in the Senate that didn't have money but, they are sure making it on our taxes.....we need someone who won't waste our money and be able to spend it in honorable ways. Mitt Romney is an honest man with integrity, knowledge, wisdom and warmth for doing good things for others.
The blog ahead of mine....listing Rob Protman = Former Ohio Rep. and former Director of the Office of Management and Budget Rob Portman = It doesn't look like he did a very good job as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget. If he had ....he would have curtailed our senators and Representatives and others to STAY ON BUDGET and had a better management over our country.
MITT ROMNEY is the BEST.........3 cheers for Mitt Romney ! ! !
McCain-Portman
Rob Portman. Definitely Portman. He has every quality you want in a VP in 2008, plus he's from Ohio - I don't think the Dems can win without it!
