Vote Obama

Dear West Virginia,

I truly love the "The Clintons" and how they lead the White House, which brought peace and prosperity. Then we took 2 steps backwards with the Bush administration and his economic plan which is now hurting many Americans across our country. Not only is Black people feeling the pain, but Whites, Blacks, Browns. I understand your state is 95% white and can appreciate your culture. However, this primary election race takes our "Country" to the next level; people can unite and work together in bigger and better ways. I am so proud of this young generation who has moved beyond the awful attitudes that lies deep within our soicety. .

West Virginia, you must admit that "Senator Obama" has ran an educational , fair, clean, energized compaign. This country needs to turn the page and grow as a "Country". And those of you with old mentally, ought to be tired.

Republican Opinion...

Funny as this may sound... As a Republican, It will be an easy decision for me to vote, if it is Clinton v. McCain; it is the Obama v. McCain decision that would be the tough one for me. I just shake at the thought of isolating the world any further from us. I think that world unity should be the goal for the future!

Hi Obama

I know your presidency may not produce all that's been hoped or feared by America, black, white, red, yellow and all but I can think of no alternative presidency to better or even equal your youth, vision and potential as the new unifier.

If you don't make it in November, to all the citizens, not to your shall i send my empathy.

Tradition helps, could hurt too

World cahmps fall, mostly, when they commit error of judgement or fail to act in fear of whatsoever. With the best training institutions, equipage, manpower and the overwhelming haulage of Nobel prizes annually, shouldn't we worry that the best thinker is best only in potentials?

Nothing in the books forbids a woman president in a liberal democracy where the US claims global overlordhip - Britain, Germany now, Israel India, Sri Lanka, some Scandinavian countries earlier, even Liberia now and France nearly so!

Even more so, nothing other than lack of commosense forbids a leader from being chosen by his potential beneficiaries on the account of race.

Whichever way things go in the year of the lord 2008, the US will make a solid statement of either electing its first ever "black - isn't his mother white? - president, or fail to chose its best, perhaps not for want of competence but his race.

Vote Obama!

Dear West Virginia!

A vote for Hillary is a vote for Hillary, but a vote for Obama is a vote for a better America!

Jobs for WV

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Governor Manchin is taking offense to an upcoming film that uses negative stereotypes of West Virginians.

The horror thriller "Shelter" starring Julianne Moore is recruiting extras with unusual physical features for a scene in a West Virginia "holler." Those scenes are scheduled to be shot starting Sunday.

The casting call says the film is looking for extras who are extraordinarily tall or short, those with unusual body shapes and unusual facial features, and even people with physical abnormalities.

"Why must it be automatically assumed that those who live in the hills and hollows of places like West Virginia are all afflicted with physical and mental abnormalities?" Manchin said.

when a white vote for a white it is not polarising but when a black vote for a black it is.let be true to ourselves ,are we not been hypocrates.

Obama-

This is a rejoinder to people like "IN" whose mindsets and ideals are retrogressive and put spanners in works of a greater America. We dont need people like this making comments along racial lines. They should see beyond ethnicity, color etc. Selective process should be based on individual profile. America is on crossroad and Obama is the beacon of hope that will herald a new dawn for the American people. ,We all know who is better equpped to get America out of her economic doldrum, declining image overseas etc - no other name than the phenomenon called OBAMA

vote with your head

For those who still have a vote to cast, make your vote your decision, not who everyone has already voted for. Read the candidate's points or ideas and make a decision, not because CNN, Fox News, NY Times or anyone else who wants to "script" a perfect ratings raking election coverage for 6 weeks.

Don't believe everything you read. I understand the passion that Charles from FL writes but let's think about some of the comments made. "he could've gotten Osama Bin Laden long before he attacked us." I don't see the point being stated that the window of opportunity would have also resulted in the killing of a Saudi Arabian Prince and most likely would have not just alienated us against our strongest ally in the middle east but also started world war 3 with the arabs vs the western world. How about the statement "at least he's accountable for Reverend Wright's comments"? When exactly did Barack admit to them? After a week of being underfire for supporting him? After seeing his numbers declining every minute he continued to stand by his side? Did Barack call those statements disgraceful when he heard them over 20 years? When this matter was originally brought to his attention last year? Or even when he made him campaign spiritual leader? What can be seen as more disgraceful is how Barack sold his friendship and maybe his own beliefs down the river to win an election. Maybe Barack's personality is not to ruffle any feathers and that's how he could justify all those nonvotes under his record of his state senator's position.

All I am saying is since the media is only worried about ratings and Barack going for "history" would be the big ratings, they are not giving fair journalist new stories and it is up to America to research the truth and decide on their own beliefs not because the media says so or you are afraid of either being racist or sexist.

Words based on polls, UN to be over U.S.

Anyone remember how Bill Clinton would spin on a dime if the polls showed something was favored or not favored? Rumor had it in 1999 that the Clintons (both) favor allowing the United Nations to have authority over our sovereignty and try our leaders and generals in a world court (hmm, a double edged sword). We need to hold our leaders accountable to the world and ourselves as a people, not some crazy world organization. Now imagine this, socialized everything, no accountability for words or deeds and a UN authority over the United States. Is this truly what we want people? Oh, and let's not forget what good friends Bill Clinton was with the Chinese and allowing high tech secrets to get in their hands in 1998. Or that he could've gotten Osama Bin Laden long before he attacked us.

Now realize, all this is all based on our journalism which is borderline truth sometimes, so take this with a grain of salt, though, it bears further examination before being so quick to vote for Hillary. Barack has yet to show his full hand, let's see what he's got. At least he got it from a grass roots movement that could not be accomplished before the internet existed. We can take it back, we can take it Barack to the Future (hehe, a little humor there). He wore a lapel pin, woohoo, at least he's accountable for Reverend Wright's comments, who would willing admit that guy's sermons to the public. That would be like asking Bill Clinton if he ever had sexual relations with that woman.
