Obama Expresses Outrage Over Former Pastor Jeremiah Wright's Comments

I am watching you America. Can't you see the brilliance you have in the candidate of Obama, are you all blinded by race that you continue to keep Hillary in the campaign. Don't you see that the Republicans want to win so badly that they are voting for Hillary now so she can run for president and then the same republicans will go back to vote for McCain in the elections. Why waste such a good dignified person as Obama because some think he is black. Put race behind and go for the gold. If people are so narrow minded about the relationship between Wright and Obama then you all don't deserve someone like Obama. We would take him here for the first word up here in Canada. If most of us Canadians could vote we would vote for Obama. America take the good that is coming your way.

Did Obama not know what we knew?

Did he listen for 20 years to the pastot Wright and the cheering congregation? Did he give $500 a week last year to this church? Would he be able to discern right from wrong as a Senator and then as a President? Does taking your children to this church constitute child abuse? Did he go to "minister" Farrakhan's 1 million man march to listen to the same kind of rant that rev Wright does? Has his wife not been proud of this country? WIll blacks support him as they supported OJ because he is black and only because he is black?

Was this the best the Democrats could offer?

Everyone has a Wright or a Bill in their lives that you sometimes choose to live with even if you don't agree with what they say or DO!!!

Wright is trashing the church for personal gratification like Bill trashed the presidency for his own ...............

Obama is now disowning Wright but she has Bill on the campaign trail !!

Hillary Clinton vs Obama

Hillary is just trying to make history by being the first husband and wife presidents. Obama is trying to change the crap we have been going thorugh for the last 20 years of rich politicians. The elected officials do what they get paid to do from the big bosses. They have lost all sence of reality they have so much money by the time they retire that high food and gas doesnt affect them. we need someone in office who is going to be for us little unknown people the poor people out here. And someone who made over 100 million in the last few years sure in the hell is not worring about my tiny 25,000 a year. We got to get someone in the office who is for the little people. McCain will keep on the same path as bush and that means higher gas and higer food and everything else. The republicians are already runing against Obama cause they now he is going to be the one who they will have to beat. They dont even go after hillary anymore. This is also why they go and vote demorctaic for her trying to guaranteed them a win against her if they can get Obama out of the race. Wake up lets all get behind one person and cancel out their votes. I am a republician and have not voted since i voted for regan, so i am fired up about this election and will be casting my vote for Obama in both elections, along with my republician die hard wife. Its time for Obama to change the way our country has been doing business. Obama for president.

Rev. Wright is Really Wrong

Concerning Sen. Obama...

I mean, last month you said:

“He strengthened my faith, officiated my wedding, and baptized my children. I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community.”

And now it’s:

“He was never my quote unquote, spiritual adviser, my quote unquote spiritual mentor, he was my pastor.”

Hey Barack, you should've "closed the door" on the good reverend a long time ago.

Rev. Wright's intentions

You have to ask what Wright's intentions are at this point. It is totally amazing to me that someone who was so close to Obama is now trying to sabotage his campaign at this point of the race. Hopefully the voters of Guam, Indiana, and North Carolina see Obama's attempt at separating himself from Wright in a positive light.

obviously obama knows wright's views. wright certainly has never been afraid to express them. don't tell me for 20 years obama had no clue! are we stupid? what this amounts to is that obama does share the same beliefs as wright and now he just stabbed wright in the back because we all found out what obama is like behind the scenes. obama is not only a radical, anti-american, racist, he's also a backstabber to someone who was like a father to him for so long! i'm just as disgusted by his association with wright as i am by his backstabbing of wright. obama has very serious moral/character flaws!!

Clinton/Obama

I feel that Hillary Clinton is in it for personal gains and selfish ambition and Barack is in it to make changes and pull the country together. Also some of your commentators (a new black woman named (Tara) has comments that are undesirable and make no sense.

Obama's Response to Wright

As an admirer of Obama, in whom I see a potential for greatness that comes once in a generation, I hope that before it's too late, Obama will transcend his trademark calm demeanor and demonstrate the passionate intensity that he claims underlies his lifelong goals. Those who remember Mike Dukakis's unsuccessful candidacy against the first George Bush may recall the disastrous debate question to Dukakis regarding capital punishment - "If your wife were raped and murdered, would you still oppose the death penalty for the murderer?" Instead of responding viscerally before providing his reasoning on the issue, Dukakis immediately launched into a calm, rational analysis of the disadvantages of capital punishment. He may have lost the election for other reasons as well, but his inability to mount an understandably human reaction alienated many voters who might otherwise have supported him. Obama should take heed.

Incidentally, as a death penalty opponent, I would have responded to the question by letting the world see the intensity of pain and rage I would feel, and then and only then, tell people why my personal emotions or theirs might be outweighed by compelling counter-arguments.

Political... Naive... or... Stupid?

After 20 years Obama has woken up to the fact that his spiritual mentor is racist? Is Obama politically expedient and mainting this relationship over the years... naive... or stupid? You tell me.
