America's Best Leaders: Indra Nooyi, PepsiCo CEO
The karaoke-singing chief executive is taking Pepsi in an unlikely direction—toward healthful foods
For all that, Nooyi remains profoundly personal. She told the BBC in March that she calls her mother in India twice a day. "At the end of the day," said the CEO of one of America's biggest enterprises, "don't forget that you're a person, don't forget you're a mother, don't forget you're a wife, don't forget you're a daughter." When your job is done, "what you're left is family, friends, and faith."

Her family background
I had read that her maiden name is Krishnamurthy, she is Tamilian perhaps a Brahmin. why is there no mention of her husband Nooryi sounds like a muslim name. Is she married to one
what does he do ? is she still married to him. I am curious. A fellow Tamilian, my father's name is Krishnamurthi.
Encouraging and noteworthy
I was a bit disappointed when I heard some Indian woman will be leading Pepsico. I felt women need to lead diffrent kind of organizations than mainstream hardcore profit driven corporation with unhealthy softdrinks and snacks. I must say it is not an easy job to slowly steer such a company consciously towards purpose, health and prosperity and change mindset and culture of the people involved and affected by pepsi products. I wish her all the best and sending it to my daughter.
