Strong Model Parent

Ben's mother was a strong spirit that understand the importance of raising children with a sense of proud and respect as a parent. Many parents today do not value their roles as parents therefore the children are lost to the parents' fetishes.

I am very happy for Dr. Carson and respect his mother greatly.

Ben Carson

Hello Folks;

The world needs more folks like Dr. Ben Carson ... this guy is a REAL leader and inspiration to everyone. I remember growing up in the 1950s and 1960s with a learning disability ... before anyone really understood what it was, and being told I would NEVER become anyone. It can destroy a child unless they are very strong willed. Someone like Dr. Ben Carson would have definitely made my day speaking in my school ... about achievement and excellence. Keep up the good work, friend!

Gifted Hands-BEN CARSON STORY!

Baltimore’s internationally renowned physician, Dr. Ben Carson, longstanding Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins is being portrayed by the Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. in the new TNT original movie GIFTED HANDS: THE BEN CARSON STORY. But we have the real thing. Check out this video where Dr. Carson talks about why he loves Baltimore... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LRnKQ9hTgg&feature=channel_page

Congratulations Dr. Carson

Dr. Carson,

You were operating on my daughter, Jessie, at the exact time that they announced that you would be a recepient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. We traveled from Texas, and lived in Baltimore for 2 months while she was in recovery and rehabilitation, all the time trusting in your God-given skills. We were drawn to you, as so many others have been in the past.

I saw you last week and gave you a hug of thanks. You deserve so much more, but that is all that I could offer. Thanks for saving my daughter from a life of seizures, and thanks for being the Honorary Chair of the Hemispherectomy Foundation Medical Advisory Board.

May God Bless You and Your Family!

Hi Dr Carson, I'm Wabuteya Patrick from Uganda. I'm sure i'm the first child to write to you. Well i have got the chance to read three of your books,"think big, Gifted hands and the big picture. I'm very happy to say that i have been transformed from my old state to another. Just like your story in think big, i always wished to become a doctor like you.I didn't know which kind of doctor to be, but when i read about you , i knew i had got the idea right.I've always wished to see you face to face, but i have no chance because; this is UG as we call it and you are in US. WISH YOU COME AND SEE US.

Your books are very interesting. Well Im a seventh grader and my class had a book review on Gifted Hands and we learns alot.
