Twitter is wonderful!

From my personal experience on twitter, it's quite ammusing to me. I love talking to my friends and family on there. Also, you get to talk to stars! I have friends that I keep in tounch with from over 10 years ago. I just love it!

as deep as a puddle

"Twitter is for people who don't have the patience to write more than half a sentence. The result is an impoverished form of communication, where everything seems like it is happening here and now, without context, ambiguity, or interpretation."

Perfectly put. Twitter is the epitome of the shalowification of America.

Twitter is Like Glitter, Mre Ear Bling

It is said if you can't say what you need to in 3 sentences or less, your wasting time. The Twitter craze I consider a fashion trend will fizzle out when the hand held holographic phone comes on the scene.

I just dont know hw we all have managed uptill now with out Twitter. Sure, you need an instant viewpoint, help on cashcab,or one of the gameshows,or a president for those flat and uncomfortable moments, but if all of us paid more attention listening and being present in the moment, we may answer our own questions, come up with great insights and inventions worthy of a publishable essay, or anews cameo. Its just another shiny toy to help line the pockets of the now richest megacorps on the planet, being used as a shiny lure ( a glitter twittery lure) to take your money and further isolate us from our immediate enviornment and concerns, like driving, eating, listening in class, etc. SO if yo wanna look like a cultural king, a successful 21st century person, you wont have that swing unless you got your twitter bling...

Haven't tried Twitter...it sounds like some form of speed-of-light communication that's limited to so many words. I prefer sending personal emails or, if the situation warrants, even snail mail. We've lost the art of the written word as well as meaningful communication practices by using language in the short, abbreviated form used in texting... I'll never get the hang of that.

When you get my age, you're rather limited by friends and family members who can't or won't use tech gadgets of any kind except for their cell phone; however, they do call often to keep everybody updated. I suppose that's the old fashioned form of Twitter, but it works. As for posting on various forums, that's my latest passion. You can be opinionated as you like about any subject and have the freedom to express yourself.

Twitter is a waste of time

I'm not usually a cultural pessimist, but as I see it, if blogs are written mostly by people who don't have the patience to write individual emails to their friends (or write publishable op-ed pieces for real news websites), then Twitter is for people who don't have the patience to write more than half a sentence. The result is an impoverished form of communication, where everything seems like it is happening here and now, without context, ambiguity, or interpretation.

Twitterport like Airport

You can move your inspiration or share others at the speed of a jet or faster even on 'twitter'.

I have been inspired, blessed and even overwhelmed with new friends, reconections with old friends, and alumni.

An added bonus is to include my friends new and old on my journey forward.

Thank You to Twitter and friends for the follow. jro

Stupid idea.

Why is this here? There's nothing written above about how this will improve your life, it just tells you to do it.

Gosh, this site is sad.

I'm sorry to share the same state with you.

Just thought I'd let you know there are no such things as "Gods". Figure it out on your own.

"a 24-hour group chat with hundreds of people you know (and millions you don't) than a Web log of your bowel movements."

That sounds awful. Who would want such a thing? Twitter may not be intended as a weblog of your bowel movements, but it's more like the personal data version of that particular bowel movement known colloquially as "the squirts."

People who use Twitter are the most avant-garde in the group ceasing to be people at all.

World Changing Twitter Message - 137 Characters

World changer: The goal in life is not employment; it is a retirement lifestyle creating a garden paradise. That solves world problems.

That was 137 characters and a message to comfort the world in this financial crisis. God has a way of escape. Please twitter it. My divine-way website has details and no ads and no sales. I hope someday to find you helped spread the message.

I do not know how to twitter. My messages are longer because I give more details. I post God's solutions to world problems we created by ifgnoring His wisdom on news articles at .com for usnews, USAToday, DenverPost, WashingtonTimes, WashingtonPost, BaltimoreSun etc.

Another thing to sign up for and another thing to do. Forget Twitter and blogging.

Perhaps US News should list in the 50 Way To Improve Your Life, "Quit telling people I'm too busy" as an excuse. If they truly are too busy, their probably Twittering their life away.

Turn off the TV, video games, etc. Call your family and friends instead of them reading your blog. Go for a hike, bike or take a nap (that's in the list!). Technology isn't always the answer.
