In reply to Jeff in KY, I agree. Not trying to be racist but it always seems to be that loud black music. You never hear heavy metal or country like that.

I think it is ironic that one can get a ticket for loud mufflers but

the cops in our town allow their own kids to drive around with their

Bass speakers booming so loud you can hear them several blocks away.

There have been instances where these bass speakers have actually

collapsed the lungs of the person in the vehicle.

Pointless

The title of the article was, “silence noise pollution”—but offered no suggestions for this. I’m looking for help with this issue because noise pollution has become a major problem in our neighborhood: kids with modified mufflers on their cars, a few big rigs (a few companies only, some are great, others seem to do it almost deliberately), commercial vehicles, county vehicles speeding beyond the 25mph speed limit sometimes as much as 60mph (!)—yes, really. Residential.
