Recycly, Repair, And Refurbish In China.
Recycly, Repair, And Refurbish In China.
By: Jordan C. Fan, Prophet Of Environment.
Some Chinese industries have been participating in recycling projects of waste items from developed countries such as the USA and Europe. Those items include out of service ocean liners, oil tankers, cars, waste paper products, electronic, televisions, old computers and broken electrical appliances. During this period of economic downturn or recession, recycling should become be transformed to repair to provide a educational opportunity for the Chinese people especially students. Instead of disassemble of those waste items for spare parts, scraps and/or precious metals, the Chinese government should carry out programs which will train factory workers for repair of computers, electronic, and electrical appliances. Those being trained will in turn become teacher of school students on those waste items imported from other nations. As an educational incentive, student will be allow to keep some of those items such as old refurbish items for their own use. Bigger recycling project can include out-of-service automobiles and even oil tankers obtained from other countries can also be repaired to operational conditions. Even old waste paper of newspaper, magazine and books can be sorted out as readable material for individuals, library or resale. The end result will be a China will unlimited supply of highly qualified electrical and mechanical technicians and engineers even before they graduate from high school. Everyone of them will know hoe to do the most complicated repairs on their cars, computers and appliance which they can get for free. It is also very good for the Environment protection and resource conservation. The government can also generate huge revenue from such projects. This project will certainly bring China out of any economic downturn.
The fuel cost for transportation is actuaal going down drasticly during this time of lower oil prices. It is becoming very feasible to transport those used or waste items from other nations such as the U. S. to China. Waste and used items are selling by the tons at close to nothing cost. Above all, repairing cars, electronics, and appliances are certain fun vocational and educationalprojects especially for young school children. Since many of those items were manufactured in China, there are no lack of repair manuals/instructions and qualified repair technicians already living in China. Those technicians could in turn train other students and new technicians/engineers. The population of high quality workers
will multiple exponentially throughout China. China's success and leadership will be confirmed. Unlike others, my ideas are actually practical and easily achievable.
The situation in China are a lot different than 30 years ago. China is a lot richer and smart with a lot more friendly nations at its side as the leader of the world. Especially in the technology area. The Great Leap Forward was really not a total disaster. As people always said "Doing something is always better than doing nothing. The Chinese people were suffering then mainly because of the American embargo of goods going to China.
Furthermore accumulation of used appliances, car and computers or even buying slightly used or return items away from those European and American will eliminate the possibility of those items being reused and refurbished in those countries then they have to end up buying a lot new goods from China.
