Glad they're home, but...

One has to wonder about the qualifications and experience of these two journalists. For American reporters to be nosing around on the border of North Korea without permission is foolhearty in the extreme.

Though it is good to see that they were ultimately freed and returned to the U.S., the nation looked bad having an ex-president posing for pictures with Kim Jong Il.

Bill Clinton definitely earned some compassion points for stomaching that ordeal.

The "journalists"?

Who are they? Whom did or do they represent? What were they doing there in the first place. Why was Al Gore involved in the "rescue"?

The two American Journalists rescued

I find it appalling that these two ladies did not receive a real lecture from the US Governmnent for sneaking into that well, border protected brutal country. They can be happy that they are not dead, in as much as a border patrol could have shot them both, right?

Now they are paraded as heroes, in essence indirectly ecouraging others, even young ladies with young Children do the same very stupid and even un-American thing? Their borders is what basically our borders should be, so that America would not be flooded with illegal drugs coming from places where Americans die trying to destory poppy growing especially in Afganistan, plus more illegals just coming and going.

There is more value

in the world seeing Clinton (and Obama) securing the release of these two women than there is detriment of Kim having a photo he can use to prop himself up inside his own country.

As for NK nuke programs, sooner or later you have to take them out. At a 55-year standoff, we have so far opted for "later".
