War in Iraq

I think we should pull out all U.S. troops and bomb the hell out of Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and any other conutry the same way we bombed Japan but instead of of going in and fix it all back up and give it back and say sorry we should bomb them thin go in and take over make it U.S. property and make some money off the oil and gas they have over there.

interfering

I think the US policy of choosing what country they are going to "help" is wrong. Africans are killing and raping women and children in droves. People are being chased from their homes. I don't see the US "helping" there. Someone want to tell me what is wrong with that picture?

Old Story, Pull out before the job is done...

Yep, ever since Korea the US has allowed Political motivation to drive our resolve (or lack thereof) and leave the job "WE" promised not-quite-done.

I know many that believe Iraq was a "war of choice" BUT, better to fight the (limited?) percentage of Middle-Eastern citizens that HATE US there than HERE.

WE did not choose 911, The Cole, The first WTC bombing, etc.

GWB got this dumped in his lap and at least...DID SOMETHING.

You may agree or disagree but the no further attacks for 8 YEARS says a LOT.

Anyone ever "consider" the fact people HATE the US because we never do what we say?

Iraq & Violence

This should be a happy day for us and the world ...the war in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan is none of our business and a trmendouse waste of money, military equipment and human beings to people who hate us anyhow and probably always will...why do we have to fight wars that belong to europe or asia ???? Who appointed us to be the policeman of the world...we should get out of Pakistan and Afghanistan too and concentrate on the western hemisphere and the Monroe doctrine, where we live and breathe and have our being......Cordially....

Really?

I don't profess to be the most politically knowledgeable or savvy (sp?) individual, but I'm relatively certain W. had personal reasons for the war in Iraq (in addition to the obvious - September 11) as well as political ones. Didn't he say Saddam tried to kill his father?

As for Saddam's "balance", I guess one could refer to Hitler having "balance" in Germany; the Bosnians' and the Serbs' attempt at "balance" in Croatia; and the South Africans' attempt at "balance" in their county as well. One person's balance is another person's genocide.

Sure violence will get worse

But the fawning MSM will not report it to make Hussein Obama look good as possible. They sleep with him in the White House!

Why don't we see the daily/weekly casualty statistics for Iraq and Obama's war zone in Afghanistan? Now that it is possible to show them, why haven't we seen any of the flag-draped caskets of our fallen heroes?(This was all staged hatred of the Bush adminstration.)

This hypocrisy is what ticks me off about Obama, the flaming liberals and the MSM!

I hope people wake up and vote the idiots out whose trms expire in 2010.

sadam balance??

oh saddam had a real balance thing going there....stay out of political commentary you only serve to embarrass yourself with such "insightful" observations. saddam has true balannce now...lol

pulling out is a waste. if you really understand the process it is simply lip service to obuma supporters who (lol again) expect him to live up to campaign promises(really lol). the troops will be there in large bases to bring fire and death to all those who do not agree with the program(as it should be).

obuma is funny as he continues to adopt BUSH policy while trying to appease the people who elected him. hmmmm I like him more as he becomes more BUSH-like.

"We upset the balance Sadaam had in place..."

Bwaaaa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Oh, dear. That was rich.

Thanks for that.

Violence related to unemployment?

This Newsy report includes a sound bite from a US commander who suggests that unemployment in some Iraqi cities is above 60%. Violence is the only way to make a living.

Will the US troop withdrawal really improve conditions in Iraq?

Pull Out and Stay Out

Time to go. We placed the government there, we trained its police and military, now they must rule themselves.

Iraq will be full of turmoil. We upset the balance Sadaam had in place, now they must finrd their own equilibrium.

It will never be stable there again, but may be OK. We cannot stya forever trying to stablize something that cannot be settled. We do not sit in Lebanon even though it is unstable. We do not occupy other countries because they are unstable. Their stability is their own business.

We have to stop trying to force our will on every nation. Time to leave Iraq and let the Iraqis rule themselves. They must. We cannot afford to stay any longer. Obama should pull out ALL troops there soon. He always said we should never have gone there.

We have not left in a hurry. But leave we must!
