Catholics have never supported communism nor Nazism
Catholics are forbiden by the Church Magisterium to support anything like socialism and communism [and also Nazism which is form of National Socialism]. So if anybody implies such a "fact" that is a lie.
The Popes like Leo XIII condemned socialism and communism and that is binding for all Catholics.
There was never any colapse of communism in Eastern Europe because not one communist criminal went to jail and Russia's long-term plan to destroy our freedom and bring America under their Moscow run worldwide communist tyranny does exist.
This plan was outlined in a book "We Will Bury You" written by the highest ranking defector from the Soviet Bloc Czechoslovaka General Jan [John] Sejna.
He wrote:
The main strategic purpose of Phase Three, 'The Period of Dynamic Social Change', was in the words of the Soviet directive, "to smash the hope of false democracy" and bring about the total de-moralization of the West. Our relationship with the United States would be the vital element in this phase.
By fostering belief in our policy of friendship and cooperation with America, we planned to receive the greatest possible economic and technological help from the West, and at the same time convince the capitalist countries that they had no need of military alliances.
The erosion of NATO begun in Phase Two would be completed by the withdrawal of the United States from its commitment to the defense of Europe and by European hostility to military expenditure generated by economic recession and fanned by the efforts of the 'progressive' movements.
To this end we envisaged that it might be necessary to dissolve the Warsaw Pact, in which event we had already prepared a web of bilateral defense arrangements, to be supervised by secret committees of Comecon.
The Soviet view was that during phase three Capitalism would suffer an economic crisis that would bring Europe to its knees and stimulate the influence of "progressive forces" [Ed. note - KGB fronts] in European governments.
Our planners believed we could discount the possibility of a world war in this phase because the U.S.A. would have withdrawn its commitment to help its former allies.

The fourth and final phase of the Plan looked forward to the dawn of "Global Democratic Peace".
At the start of Phase Four the U.S. would be isolated from both Europe and the developing countries. We could therefore undermine it by the use of external economic weapons and so create the social and economic conditions for 'progressive forces' to emerge inside the country.
In this Phase, the Plan envisaged a resurgence of the arms race, leading to eventual military superiority of the Warsaw Pact, which the United States would accept.

I think it's time for all these wars in the name of someone's religion to stop. More people have died in the name of religion than anything else in history. When will people wake up to the fact that governments use religion to rally the unlearned to fight for them and gain power over the masses. There is a lesson to be learned in the Old Testament. the story of Elijah the prophet.In short, They were fighting over who was the true God. Elijah told them to put there God to the test. He chose fire. The one that answered by igniting the fire without the intervention of man would be the true God. The lesson I think would be. That the next time somebody cries Holy War, or tries to use religion to gain power and support, We should all say if God wants war then God will fight it. Also Jan, you might want to study out the history of the Catholic church. The catholic religion came about when the roman government saw an opportunity to gain wealth and power over the masses. With the Newly born Christian church. It was the first Government formed religion. An act that murdered thousands of Christians, Jews, and anyone else that did not conform to Catholicism and sent the world into the dark ages for centuries. An act and religion that still seeks to control the masses from the crusades to the Nazi concentration camps. That same mentality can be applied to what we are seeing today with the Muslim religion.
