stimulus plan

will the stimulus plan that presidential elect obama has in store for the nation contribute any money to the U.S. citizens and not only the motor industries and all the major banks i know one is called a bail out and the other is considered a stimulus program but i would just really like to know what our future president is calling a stimulus program

Free Market

I am right on board with 5th generation Texas oil man. We have turned into a nation of weak individuals. Everyone looks for their handout, what they think they are owed. The only thing any of us deserve is life, liberty and the pursuit of hapiness. How far you go after that is up to you. Ones hard work determines what they deserve. I am tired of people blaming the system or the man or something or someone for their "hard" life. There are stories out there of people succeeding after having nothing to start with. They did this with hardwork and the desire to better themselves and their family. We make our own choices on how our life will be led. I came from a lower-middle class family that barely made ends meet. I held a job as a teenager and did all my school work. I wanted to go to college, but couldn't afford it. Instead I went into the military and received an education there. I worked hard and made something of myself without once thinking I was owed anything. We can't reward the stupid. If something is hot.......don't touch it, you will get burned.

Social capital stimulus will create jobs at low costs

Many companies in America were formed by teams of people. Look at the history of Google and Apple.

How about a social capital stimulus plan in all parts of the economy?

If we can put people with complementary skills and resources together at the local level, underemployment will drop. Networking on the Internet has limits because computers cannot think like a matchmaker, and networking events have unnecessary food costs and distractions such as speakers.

Churches and other non-profit groups might consider simple mixer ideas to get people who tend to not mix socially, such as single people and married empty-nesters, talking to each other.

Universities spend a significant effort on diversity in recruitment; but they could do more to encourage team building. They would benefit from alumni donations if they team up students and/or alumni from various majors.

Jobs created socially will work better for Americans than temporary government job programs and will use the diversity that is America's strength.

They still wont get it right.

That plan did not work in the 30's. it did not work with Japan in the 90's. And it wont work now. What will work is a cross the board income tax cut of about 30 percent. and it will have to be permant. It will shovel money back into the economy quickly. And bring confidence since it is permant. Of course the government will have to reduce it budget by 30 percent.

Tax cuts and the reducing of State spending worked here in Texas. our budget is in the black and we are adding jobs when everybody else are losing them. We do not even know there is a reccession. Our housing prices are stable. And we are posting gains across the board. Of course we deal on the global market and our wages and cost of living reflect it. When we fall down we do not cry to the government to doing something about it, we pick our self back up and go on. I say no to any package let the FREE Maket rule. The strong survies and the weak die. So do not hurt our economy because every one else damage theirs with inflated wages and home prices.
