We left Vermilion parish following the bus in our own car. We end up in Pineville Louisiana at what appeared to be an Army base. We were there about 2 hours waiting for shelter.there was bus after bus coming in some were empty some were full.We asked why all the buses,they replyed thats for the NEW ORLEANS people.we told them we were in our own car and was following the bus, they told us we were on our own we had to find our own shelter.I called 211 to find shelter there was none for us but there was shelter for NEW ORLEANS we were treated like trash . Why is NEW ORLEANS treated like they are special.Everything is NEW ORLEANS KATRINA. What about Vermilion Parish and RITA.You turn on the news all you see and hear is KATRINA NEW ORLEANS.what about Vermilion Parish and Rita.
