Blog Buzz: Race to Be McCain's or Obama's Vice President Edition

Posted June 23, 2008

Our daily look at stories and topics lighting up the Internets:

Veepstakes: Palin, Biden, and Clinton, oh my!

Marc Ambinder sums things up processwise. Ed Morrissey at Hot Air likes Sarah Palin. And there's little liberal sympathy for John McCain's limited VP choices. Barack Obama-Joe Biden? Talkin' Joe would go for it. McCain-Tim Pawlenty? Yglesias says it sounds solid. Mike Bonnifer, a Huffington Post blogger, thinks Obama-Hillary Clinton is the ticket. Meanwhile, Will Bower, a spokesman for P.U.M.A. (which stands for "party unity my ass") says in an interview with the Huffington Post's John Tomasic that many Clinton supporters would rather see a McCain-Clinton ticket. Will Bunch on Attytood wouldn't be surprised if Obama gave "recycled inside-the-Beltway center-rich hack" Sam Nunn the nod.
