Obama or McCan?
I have a question for all these McCain voters. Why? Why do you want him at office? What will he do better then President Bush? For what reasons is he better then Obama? Is it because he wont allow abortion? Because he wont raise taxes for the rich people who dont have a clue what to do with their money? Is it because he's going to raise taxes for everyone even if your losing your house? I just want to know what makes him so different from Bush? Why would you pick him over Obama? Why do people think Obama is like a terrorist or something? Why are politics so frusturating?
Please anaswer I only want to know your opinons for your selection~
Why I am voting for Barack Obama
I am a 59 year old white woman and I have been captivated by Barack Obama since his appearance at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. I know that I am an apparent anomaly in my demographic. Please understand that I was never against Hillary. I admire her and appreciate the historic nature of her candidacy and I thank her, from the bottom of my heart, for her courage and persistence. Her speech a couple of weeks ago, suspending her campaign, brought tears to my eyes and a swelling of pride in my heart. But, Barack…
I have been truly inspired by Presidential candidates twice before in my life. Both times I was too young to vote. The first was John Kennedy, the second, Bobby. And both times we were robbed of their talents and abilities. Now, for the third time in my life a candidate has come forth that infuses my heart with a fierce hope for the future of our wonderful country. A country that has been battered by a war that we should never have engaged in; a country that has lost the respect and admiration of our friends and neighbors across the globe; a country that is no longer looked to for justice and hope; that no longer stands as the shining beacon of democracy, an example of all that is possible and even sometimes the impossible and incomprehensible.
It is time for a new thought process in the Oval Office, one that looks at the rest of the world with respect for our differences and a willingness to explore and celebrate our similarities. We need a President that is not tied to the failed policies of any past administration, willing to chart a new course toward peace and reconciliation, without the needless loss of lives. To fight the wars we must and to negotiate peace wherever possible. We need a President that will capture the imaginations of younger generations causing them to dream the impossible and achieve the unattainable; a president that will protect the rights of all Americans; fix the broken educational system, pay teachers a salary commensurate with the charge that they have to EDUCATE our children and not just baby-sit them; a president that will enact fairer taxes; provide more jobs, and training for those that have lost or are about to lose their jobs in manufacturing; a President that will protect the Social Security system not just for my generation but for many generations to come; one that believes that a stronger more vibrant America is the result of investments in renewable energy sources and in rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure, a President that will not put our sons and daughters in harms way without a verifiable reason or a viable exit strategy and with clear, set, reachable objectives; in short, a President that will bring honor and respect to the position not just because it is his due but because he is an honorable and respectful man.
I have never had the opportunity to vote for a Presidential candidate that spoke to the better part of me, that reaches past my heart and into my American soul, now is the time, and this is the person. He is not the lesser or two evils or the slightly better in mediocrity, he is our finest hope, he is the American dream.
So, that is why I am voting for Barack Obama, how about you?
We have never had a fighter like Hillary. I trust her implicitly and we need her.
..that's your first mistake. She lies like a rug. Under enemy fire, BS gas tax break, drinking beer and doing shots after driving her pick-up to talk about how she likes to go shooting, ....please. Bill did the country good (except for lying under oath and all his last minute pardons), Hillary is a smart fighter for sure. But they are both politicians that lie like a rug. Trust implicitly? Get real.
Believe In Yourself & The Impossible Dream
Believe in Yourself
Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were
meant to be there. To serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or
help figure out who you are or who you want to become.
You never know who these people may be but when you lock eyes with them, you
know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.
And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible,
painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming
those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will
power or heart.
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of
good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer
stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small
tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere.
Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.
The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you
experience can create who you are, and the bad experiences can be learned
from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones.
If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because
they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious
to whom you open your heart.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they
love you, but because they are teaching you to love and to open your heart
and eyes to little things. Make every day count.
Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can,
for you may never be able to experience it again.
Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let
yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high.
Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a
great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in
yourself, no one else will believe in you. Create your own life and then go
out and live it.
"If you take your eyes off your goals, all you see are obstacles."

The Impossible Dream
Lyrics by Joe Darion
Music by Mitch Leigh
To dream the impossible dream,
to fight the unbeatable foe,
to bear with unbearable sorrow,
to run where the brave dare not go.
To right the unrightable wrong,
to love pure and chaste from afar,
to try when your arms are too weary,
to reach the unreachable star.
This is my quest,
to follow that star --
no matter how hopeless,
no matter how far.
To fight for the right
without question or pause,
to be willing to march into hell for a
heavenly cause.
And I know if I'll only be true to this
glorious quest
that my heart will be peaceful and calm
when I'm laid to my rest.
And the world will be better for this,
that one man scorned and covered with scars
still strove with his last ounce of courage.
To reach the unreachable stars.
A Third Party
I will pull out of the DNC today and am hoping there will be a movement for a Centrist Party ASAP. If one doesn't form I will write Hillary in. I will never vote for either Obama or McCain.
I have been a supporter until the Florida and Michigan fiasco. DNC you should be ashamed of yourself. You and the media did the greatest dis-service possible to this country and everything it has stood for with your actions and non actions in this primary. Look at the voters who came out in numbers unheard of. Look at Hillary having the majority of the votes. This is reality.
We have never had a fighter like Hillary. I trust her implicitly and we need her.
None of this is sour grapes. It is reality!!!!!
Hillary 1st choice, McCain 2nd choice ...
Like many Clinton supporters, I don't like Obama ... I can not longer recognize, nor do I like the Democratic party anymore ... therefore, I wish Hillary would run as an Independent. It's worked for other candidates ... like Joe Leiberman. At least as an independent democracy would prevail if Hillary won the popular vote ... again.
If Hillary decides not to run as an Independent, I hope that millions of Hillary supporters will join me in voting for Senator John McCain.
Help for Hillary
President of Shimmering Resumes Offers to Write Free Resume for Hillary Clinton, to Help Her Gain VP or Job in the Obama Administration
FOR RELEASE: June 4, 2008
SAN MATEO, CA — The president of one of the nation’s leading professional resume writing services has offered to write a free resume to help Hillary Clinton pitch her qualifications for an eventual position in the Obama Administration. So far, there has been no response.
Shimmering Resumes, a professional resume writing service for executives, is concerned about job prospects for the former First Lady and believes it can help her take that big next step up in her career.
Freiberger says Clinton should not blame herself for her faulty strategy or public distaste for her attacks on Senator Obama. “Self-blame, even when fully justified, will harm her morale,” said Freiberger, who includes morale-boosting among his services along with resume writing. “The past should not exist for her, except when it serves her purposes. Maintaining morale is key to her quest for power,” he added.
Freiberger recommended that Clinton take a look at his website, http://ShimmeringResumes.com, which offers plenty of career development and resume writing guidance. “If she calls,” he said. “I’ll tell her: ‘This resume is the most important document of your life.’”
Freiberger said he is not advising Clinton about abandoning her quest for the Presidency. “The numbers don’t look good,” he said. “But she wouldn’t listen to me any more than she listens to the newspaper columnists, so why try to persuade her?”
Nevertheless, Shimmering Resumes’ president said that he could foresee a role for Hillary in an Obama administration. “And not as Michelle Obama’s speechwriter,” he said. “With the right resume and proper interview counseling, Hillary could actually get an official position in an Administration. I would target her resume toward Secretary of Health and Human Services or Secretary of State.”
What If McCain Wins?
And should John McCain win the Presidency, what could Hillary do? “She could take full credit for his election,” said Freiberger. “She wouldn’t need a resume. She could name her job.”
Shimmering Resumes periodically offers its services free to noteworthy public figures facing career challenges. If you are such a person, send a note to info@shimmeringresumes.com.

Obama and Clinton
I think a bad idea. I am a Hillary supporter and hope she doesnt take it if ask.Her supporters are staying loyal and will regardless of threats and scoldings.I can not vote for him .He is so eager to boost his ego he is really not ready. He is a little to arrogant because lifes experiences havent bitten him yet to give him knowledge.
vice presidency
Obama is not presidential material and I am a Hillary supporter and hope she wouldnt take it if offered. I would rather see an independant ticket or suspension and see what happens. His pastors that were on his campaign and his laughing while telling his money men about bitter small town people cause he couldnt win even outspending her. Couple months ago we were told cannt not give it to the black canadate. well I would like to see a black person pres. but not this one. Everyone is still scolding and demanding of her and threatening . This is not the Dem party I have known. This uniter has sent our country back decades. Pastors and wife have quite a prob. with white part of America and he has blamed us for his pastors anger. No I dont think so.It isnt the color but the man. To unknown.
