windsor
i think windsor is number uno when it comes to engineering studies
McGill's decline
Only McGill undergraduate students still think McGill is #1. It seems like graduate level students think otherwise. I know of a Med Student that went to McGill and was disappointed with the facilities they provided to Med Students. He did his undergraduate studies at the UofA and did summer work with a professor and had a lot of experience working in such labs. Another friend of mine went to Toronto and did his Masters there. He's now at McGill pursuing a PhD and his views echo that of the Med student. The facilities are old, not run down or anything like that, so it's not falling apart or anything, but they lack the newest equipment and technology.
I actually think these rankings are decent, because if you told someone McGill is #1 it's not totally unbelievable. But from what I hear from those that go there for various things, there may actually have been a decline, and it's quite bad.
Other than the toilet paper part, Bill might be right.
McGill is indeed Numero Uno
Bill of XX - Are you still day dreaming? UofT you say is the best? McGill is not numero uno? Comparing McGill with UofA or UBC? Go to sleep and wake up when you get your senses back, my friend!
McGill is No.1. Live with it
I'm not sure where you obtained your info about McGill, Bill of XX. Most of it was laughable, all of it was outrageous! Toilet paper! There is nothing wrong with McGill. It is a fine institution which continues to lead the way in innovation and produces strong world leaders, nobel laureates and Rhode scholars. Jealousy is never a reason to print a negative review, my son.
good
Generally very accurate actually. The only glitch is McGill. It should be 2nd, or even 3rd, not 1st. McGill has been declining for the past 20 years. Toronto has more nobel laureates. It has better funding. It has better facilities. Toronto by far should be #1. McGill has the 2nd highest amount of nobels in Canada, but those were collected a LONG time ago. Their facilities nowadays are a joke, their buildings are crumbling, and some buildings don't even provide you toilet paper. In terms of research facilities, UBC and Alberta has surpassed McGill long ago. The province of Alberta had that oil boom (not so much anymore) but they used that opportunity to add on many worldclass facilities. UBC was very smart 15 years ago and had many record breaking fundrasiers as well.
McGill is a shadow of it's past. But other McGill being at #1, I actually generally agree with this Canadian ranking.
Flawed.
Any methodology which concludes McGill is superior to UofT is extremely flawed. True story.
