div 3 money a scam?
After my son graduated from a Class C school in NY state (AA is the largest public school ranking in NY state) he was offered various academic funds to go to play baseball at these highly expensive division 3 private schools. As with Div 1 schools and their money making football programs the paying fans help fund the school. I believe most of these Div 3 schools are offering parents and students athletes these academic scholarships to bring these kids into theses over expensive schools. In realty the parents are helping to fund the schools not the fans. Example tuition, room and board incl St. John Fisher $36,210 or Hartwich $32,550 vs SUNY Albany $19728. How long has this been going on??? I know with all the incentives that were included to attend the private school a SUNY school was still the clear choice for my son to attend. He also realized Div 3 will not get you to the pros.
