Agree with first comment
Cass Technical High School in Detroit, MI
Missed the list. Doesn't it have 2900 students. They place all 450 seniors in college for last six years. They never make these list.
Not Accurate!
This section is completely insuffiecient. I know Eden Prairie has 3800 students, and Ducanville Texas has 1 of the top 3.
Ducanville, Tx
Ducanville High School has 6000 kids
Illinois Definitely Tops List
Hey, come on. Of course, with our winters, we HAVE to dominate this list.
Oh, forgot about lottery funding...yeah right.
GO LANE!
IL
Is it just me or is Illinois dominating this list? It's probably because we have huge high school in the northeast.
Not just a "largest schools list"
In response to Jim Budke's comment, this isn't just a list of the biggest high schools in the country. It's a list, from largest to smallest, of the high schools that made the gold, silver, or bronze list put together by US News. My mom's high school is Palisades Charter High School in Pacific Palisades, CA, and when she graduated from there it had about 4000 students in it, but it didn't make the cut onto the bronze list.
Oregon?
What about David Douglas HS in Portland, OR? We have at least 3,800 students.
largest schools
I don't know where US News is getting this but it is very wrong the largest High School in the country is Cypress bay High in Weston Florida Broward county with 5492 many more than the highest they listed and by the way it is also one of the best high schools in the country
big old schools
Robinson and Lake Braddock are only about 3 miles away from each other. I went to both of them. Huge, massive schools. I'm not surprised to see they're both still in the top 10. They are also both in the top 100 overall from time to time.
