It looks like no Caatholic HS were considered. Why?

No Stuyvesant High School.

You people have got to be kidding me! No Stuyvesant Manhattan on this list. You are then fakes frauds and liars and politically motivated or paid off. This list is rife with fraud and lies.

Henry M. Gunn High School

Kid's push school zones so they don't have to go to Gunn..lots of us would Rather be at Pali. Our schedule's confusing enough, honors classes are expected, and college planning starts freshman year. It's all asian and white kids. All the suicides in the past year have made us realize just how hard they push us, just how much our area, school, and parents expect. They just report the train track incidents but there's many more... and the kids that don't go that far, there's still many more that are just plain screwed up.

For me, my school being on this list just reinforces all we go through is for a title, it's all for popularity and reputation now and later. I wonder if it's worth it.

Stuyvesant

I am attending Stuyvesant High School right now. I'm a senior who is applying to 6 out of the 8 Ivy Leagues and is anticipating to get accepted into at least 4. A Mississippi school in some town no one has ever heard of can not match a school in the greatest city in the United States. NYC. Mississippi is most definitely not the most desired place to live in the US. Heck, who would want to live with a bunch of provincial bigots?

No private schools

Houston's best highschools are St. Johns followed

by St. Agnes followed by Strake Jesuit.

The best Public High School is generally considered

to be Bellaire High School.

Georgia?

I went to Pope High School in Marietta, GA, and looking at the list of top Georgia schools, I have to say that it's kind of a joke. Cobb County has some of the best schools in the country and definitely in the state, including Pope HS, Walton HS, Kell HS and Lassiter HS. (Pope and Walton are usually in competition for the top-ranked state school.) To think that not a single Cobb County school made the list is extremely puzzling, especially considering some of the (frankly) far-inferior Georgia schools that made the cut.

Money

See? Pouring in lots of money doesn't result in better education, we pour alot of money (more than any of these) into the schools where I live and not one of them are on this list!

No, your school just ain't that good.

To all the whiners:

If your school was as good as you feel it is, it would have made the list. Too bad your feelings don't count.

South Texas High School for Health Professions is THE best school in the vally for students going to the medical field! Med High prepares you for college and gives you hands-on experiences at the hospital! Doctors prefer Med High students because we speak the medical language! We should be in the first top 25

best highschool period

I grad from madison central, in madison mississippi class of 05' we have had the highest acedemic rating period nation wide and state for years bout 20plus years but our school want allow us to be in the ratings. Plus Madison, Ms is like one of the top 25 cities to live in. Our talent shouldnt be denied.
