Diversity at Davidson Magnet School Augusta GA
Cameron Wilk of OH states that less than 10% of the top schools shows diversity. At Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School in Augusta, GA the school is heavily diversified. There is no color barriers as the students work together to perform musicals, plays and other various arts. It is a team effort. As a play is developed, props are created, rehearsals performed over and over, stage crews are required from sound to video, etc.... Davidson's students blend together to produce a fine quality masterpiece. Just look at the video they submitted to US News and World report. The video the school created is an orginal music video to explain the school and its students.

God has called us to use soccer and other celebrated sports as a tool to reach our community around us and win souls for Christ. The women play net ball and the men are fairing well with soccer. Our soccer team has so far registered 28 born-again members- all young men with an interest in soccer and a passion for winning souls to the Kingdom of God.
Salvation is both a commitment to Christians and a life style, not just a confession. Acts 17:28 "For in him we live and move and have our being." We live it, play, praise, and enjoy it even in sports. The Lord wants us to reach the lost with our skills, talents and much more. God is calling us to use, and do everything heavenly and Biblically acceptable to depopulate hell and populate heaven.
The notion that salvation is a bore needs to be put out. People, especially the Christian youth need to know that they can still enjoy their God given hobbies and use their talents in their walk with Jesus.
On 9th May 2005 Christ Sanctuary Soccer Team actively began. A match between the marrieds and the singles was played to locate talent within the fellowship. The married beat the singles 1-0. This opened a way for other friendly matches with non-believers that are gradually giving their lives to Christ after the game.
The team is led by a Sports Pastor that shares a message from the Bible before and after every training session. The soccer team is presently the defending champions of the Kiira Town Council Church League in Eastern Kampala.
Soccer update:
God blessed us with our own soccer pitch at a near by suburb about 15 minutes walk or 10 minutes drive from the church premises in Kireka. We praise God

Yes prep is not the best school is Houston...
The best school in Texas is Carnegie Vanguard High School. We are better academically and will beat them out any day. Also, we actually have sports teams. In baseball and volleyball. Volleyball girls finished 3rd in district last year so, Carngie not only is home to smart kids, but also to kids who are multitalented.
Rhino pride!!!
High School Product
The purpose of mandatory education in this country is to produce people we can live with and work with.
Looking a facilities and some school activities doesn't address that purpose. I want to see graduation rates, dropout rates, community contributions and the like. A state department consultant I once knew headed each of her e-mail messages and memoranda with the statement: "The math and science you teach are effective to the extent they make the individual a better person."
Research on school size also talls us that bigger is not better. We must also look at school policies on suspension and expulsion to get an understanding of how the community approaches and supports the purpose of mandatory public education. Given the purpose of public education, there is no acceptable reason for suspension or expulsion.
Extensive academic offerings and students' academic performances are important but address only one part of a school's responsibility. To rank high schools, it is necessary to demonstrate the character of the people it has produced and that means more than a recitation of competitive colleges graduates attend..
How can I apply for an exchange student?
I'm now a high school student. I found that there are so many top high schools in America and I really want to be an exchange student. I wander if there is such an applization for students from other countries?
High School graduation Rates
I have been a high school substitute teachers in Texas for six years, and I also have a M.A. degree from Teachers College Columbia University, the top-ranked school of Education in the United States.
Many high school students are just plain bored in high school, especially during the senior year. Others do not see the relevancy of the high school curriculum to their future lives. The challenge is to make high school meaningful.
The temptation is to consider a vocational track, much like some European schools do, sort of a apprentice curriculum. However, the problem here is to make this track flexible enough for the students who suddenly "catch fire" during the school year, become determined to be in an academic track, and want to have the academic preparation to go on to colleges and universities.
Then, too, the vocations of today may become obsolete tomorrow, so how do we determine what vocations will be long-lasting? We have to teach students how to "think,"to prepare for any life choice.
Part of the answer is to have a mix of both academic learning, and vocational, to enable students to make this switch into different tracks. Another solution is to work closely with students, to determine when this boredom threshold is being reached by each, rather than letting this simmer below the surface, resulting in dropouts. Allowing students to take univerity credit for a part of the school year is also good.
We also need to refresh the faculty as well, by giving them higher pay, greater responsibilities, and brighter futures. Teachers who face a bleak economic future, have to work two jobs to "get by," are unable to secure housing in larger cities that is reflective of their professional status, and who are the laughing stock among other adults who can provide better for their families, do not inspire students. What is the value of professional education if the teachers have to contribute to students education through self sacrifice?
We must place a greater value on education.

I love you
I love lyndonville new york.
what i find funny is that the demographics in these so called top 100 schools show a diversity of less that ten percent
how does this prepare anyone for college, please answer me that. i currently attend shaker heights high school in ohio, once highly ranked in the nation but has fallen over the years due to a growing number of minority students. this growth has made a gap where we have the most national merit scholars in ohio but also one of the largest number of students not passing the ohio graduation test. personally i have no idea how you can rank a high school, because i have learned something from my school that an all white suburban snobatory could never teach you and is something that cannot obviously be explained to people such as yourselves.
