JMU

I am so suprised JMU isn't on here! Whenever I talk to someone and they discover I am a JMU grad they always say "wow that's a really good school." Employers were equally impressed - especially coming from the business school. If you want to take a closer look at programs I highly encourage it as JMU has some extremely unique programs. Tell me how many universities have their hospitality students held to the same rigerous base classes as the rest of the business majors? Or who has an ISAT program which integrates science and technology in a truly unique manner.

I think it is unfair that a commuter school, such as George Mason, which has only increased in popularity due to its basketball team, is put above JMU. It seems so silly!

Another incredible achievement that JMU has to boast about is the dedication and involvement of its student body. JMU looks for an overall, well-rounded candidate who is smart, involved, and dedicated. It has to be one of the friendliest campuses I have ever been to - as well as the smartest.

So go ahead - leave JMU out. All of those who have ever graduated from there, worked there, or visited this amazing school will never forget how it impacted our lives and made us the educated grads that we are! GOOOOOOOOO DUKES!

JMU

James Madison is not only competitive locally, but nationally. It is a great school with a great reputation. One of the main reasons I chose to come to JMU is because of the science program- which is amazing. There are countless opportunities for students to do research and get involved, as well as your professors becoming wonderful mentors and friends. I can only speak for my department, but I am sure, in my interactions with friends and various faculty members, that all other departments at JMU are just as helpful and prestigous. We 100%, absolutely deserve to be ranked!!! GO DUKES

James Madison University

Yes, why isn't James Madison University on the list??? I am absolutly floored that they were not even mentioned!! What's up with that??? I agree 100% with Chris Gray's comments!

James Madison University

Why isn't James Madison University ranked anywhere? George Mason (which is an substantially inferior school) is ranked in the top 150 colleges in the country and JMU's only rankings are for the graduate program?

43% of JMU's incoming students have a GPA of 3.75 or higher

71% have at least a 3.5

only 8% of incoming students have a GPA of 3.24 or lower

Median SAT Scores are 520-610 verbal, 530-620 math

There are 16,108 undergraduate students at JMU

I think your ranking system loses all validity when you fail to even include a school as large and selective as JMU. A search for "James Madison University" produces no results on your website!!!!
