Washington & Jefferson College

We took our son to visit W & J and it was worth the 4.5 hour drive. The school is much, much more welcoming than some of its "more lofty" and higher ranked bretheren in PA. The professors at W & J were engaging and actually talked to the students and parents as if they were really interested in the success of the incoming students. Some of the other institutions in PA which we also visited, gave one the impression that they were "wannabee Ivies" and that if anybodys son/daughter wanted to attend that particular school it really didn't matter because they were so, so much more selective than W & J. My son will make his choice, and certainly the other Pennsylvania schools have a lot to offer, but the little school, W & J, certainly made a wonderful impression on this parent.
