Keep ignoring the obvious

They want you indebted, they want you to pay huge sums of money for College Tuition Debt so your forced to work whatever job you can find, Understand?

Debtor F..king Nations have this Problem.

In the USA when it was a Creditor nation Years ago College Tuition was Free at some Colleges and very Cheap at Most others, you could attend Harvard University for less then 1000.00 a year back in 1969, the Government would pick up Half so $500.00/Yearly.

The US is now a weak Country with the largest debts in the history of the world and so everything you do here is debt based and Slaves are made this way.

Do you all want to be Slaves with no Rights or Future?

Do You have the Balls to change things or go Gently into the Night?

Hi! XbhpqIk

If I only leave my kids 1 thing, it will be an education thru BA or BS. 1 down, and the second 33% thru.

loans are wrong

I had student loans until I was nearly 40.

they strap the graduated just at the time they need every penny.

and unless you are the select few, most never make enough to really cover the costs associated with them.

as a parent, I will be saving for retirement and will not be helping any of my 3 kids with college expenses.

that to is wrong.

my parents NEVER helped me financially, other than a place to stay in the summer between school,

however I had to utilize their financials to see if I QUALIFIED for financial aid.

of course I didn't because they made to much.

with 5 kids, they simply said that none of the older ones chose to go to school and therefore it was wrong for them to help me.

fine, but I get punished by the system.

I would not be able to do the same with the current costs.

Our state is now PROBABLY going to GUT the state univesity to balance its budget

How big - a 25% cut

what's going to happen??? they will skyrocket tuition.

we as a country are already paying for this ineptness and will suffer further consequences also.

I hope to offer real life training so my kids can MAKE IT IN THIS WORLD

If you are going to fight a case....

Did they not tell you in the Masters Program that to be taken seriously, you should capitalize 'I' ?

loan forgiveness

my daughter couldn't fing a job in her feild.took lower paying job can yhis loan be forgivation? she is strappe d with living expense car house medical bills

thsnk you collet

European Education

German University Students Pay between $200-$1000 Euros Yearly in some states while in nine Germany States it is Free Tuition.

Poor Students receive up to $600 Euros Monthly for living costs from the Government($180 Euro a month Student Apartments including Heat and Electricity),1 Euro Meals and very Cheap Transportation(Buses and Subways. Also Healthcare Insurance is provided.

A student attending Medical School can get Tuition Free Education in some German States and other states charge anywhere from $300-$1000 Euros Yearly.

Again if a student needs financial help the state will provide cheap student apartments, $1 Euro meals, Cheap Transportation Tickets for the Bus or Subway, etc.

Germany provides up to $600 Euros Monthly for Living costs!

German Students can also study overseas for their Practicum in many Countries up to 2 years-Tuition Free with Financial help for living costs.

Germany also has a Vocational/Technical Education system which is Highly Respected around the world.

Germany Students attend School part of the week and then actually work with Corporations in their Field of Study, actually getting paid as they learn!

The German Government and their Corporations each pick up half of the cost!

This is one of the reasons why Germany is the World's largest Exporting nation and also along with Japan the World's largest Creditor Nation.

Most other Creditor Nations Support their students Generously like Germany so they too can "Compete" in the Global Economy.

The UK and US both have huge Trade Deficits and are Debtor Nations. Also Education is very Expensive in th UK while the US has the world's most expensive College Tuition rates.

And the USA does not have a strong Vocational/Technical training educational system like in Germany and some other Creditor Nations.

Over 85% of German Workers are either College Educated or Graduate from the German Vocational/Technical School System.

70% of US workers do not have the training to compete in the Global economy.

The US has the highest Healthcare costs, Tuition costs,Insurance costs, etc in the world. The USA has 55 Trillion in Debt throughout it's economy!

For every dollar of GDP Growth the USA has been adding $7.20 of new debt or 3.5 Trillion dollars of new debt each year.

IN 1980 the for every dollar of GDP Growth the US adding $1.79 of new debts!

The USA has 8 million people in it's Correctional System(Jail,Prison,Parole,Probation)up from 1 million in 1980.

The US ranks 45th in Life Expectancey compared to the world and dropping, down from 5th place in 1980!

The Concerned Engineers of America ranked the US Infrustructure as having a D- and some areas are actually failing.

Roads,Bridges,Schools,Water Systems,Dams,Sewage Systems,Power Systems, etc. IN 1980 the US Grade was a B and in the 1960's it was rated an A by these same Engineers!

The US is starting to Fail!

As the world is Witnessing with the Financial Meltdown centered here.

COST OF LOANS

With the current bail out on the home mortgage crisis why can't something be done to help the current amounts or interest required on student loans or even forgive some debt without doing the peace corp- sorry i cant afford a year of no salary? I know a loan is something that needs to be repaid but now that i am graduating with my Masters and racked up between undergrad and grad school $85k in debt i realize there is no way in hell i can pay the current estimated payment of $886 a month. I have a job as an accountant which is what my MBA is in but my husband and i don't make enough to support us and pay that. Why can't the government help with our loans in some way--so many other countries have found a way to give an education for less why cant we?

I am a parent with bad credit.

I have 7 house with no equity in them, I am two months behind on two of them which are vacant. Lenders will not allow me to co-sign for my kids loans. Is there away to go around the co-signing process.

My son is 19 years old and is entering his 1st year in college. They allowed me to put his 1st year loan in my name but now that my credit is bad I have no idea of what I am going to do next year.

My daughter is graduating is year.

Student Loans

I find this article rather interesing. I am a current college and although the amounts have increased, I have yet to receive my student loan for the current semester. My lender, which I will not name, is claiming that due to recent credit crisis, funds have not yet become available. I have been waiting for 3 weeks (past the sceduled disbursement date) and they HOPE to have it to me by the end of the month. HMMMMMM. SO I AM CONFUSED? I thought the Government was helping us?

ON ANOTHER NOTE: I am receiving student loans b/c I did not qualify for pell grants from the Federal Government. I am 25, single, and made under $18,000 the year I applied. So I wonder how it is people are being helped, who is being helped exactly. I can't seem to wrap my head around it.
